Been There

It's a collections agency.  Collections agencies purposely setup multiple numbers - some toll-free, some local, and others blocked - to trick you into picking up from one of them.  Any time it says "an important business matter" or anything remotely close to that, it's 99.9% of the time, collections.  If you're getting calls like this, especially at seemingly random times of the day (sometimes quite early, and quite late, and sporadically throughout the week), something with your name and number on it has been sent to a collections agency for "recovery".

Best advice - if you're unable to pay off your outstanding balances (likely the case, otherwise it wouldn't be in collections!), just do your best to ignore/avoid the calls, and do what you can to make your financial situation better.  There is NO point telling them your sob-story because every single person who has ever been chased has one too, and it's not their job to care.  Their job is to collect, and they will only encourage conversation and details with the intent to find a way to get you to pay.

I've actually worked in collections in the past… I'm telling you, focus on bettering your situation, not on their harassment.. cuz they will not stop until you are either "written off", or until you pay.

Got the call at 6:43 PM, Pacific time from Toronto, Ontario.  Woman asked for my neighbor, an elderly woman.  I received a call for the elderly woman two hours earlier from +1 877-706-1878, woman said her name was Roxanna and she could not reveal her name.  I told her that I knew she was using a reverse phone book and to never call here again and I would give my neighbor her message.  I decided not to give my neighbor the message, then I got this call.  No concidence, I am sure.  I told this caller my neighbor died and she started to quiz me about how long and I hung up.  I have heard that there are organizations in Canada that prey on the elderly.  Try to get them into investment schemes, etc.
