CollectCorp is the name of the collection agency used by Capital One. The best way to deal with them is to block all future calls from them if your phone service offers that capability.

Had 4 calls from this number today but no message so I ended up here to see what's up. Thanks for the info. I do not owe or have American Express and I have never heard of Canadian Trust. I did what I do whenever I get repeated calls from someone I don't want to hear from. When it is the last call received: get your dial tone, dial * 6 0, wait for annoucement to start, dial # 0 1 #. That number will be blocked and unable to make calls to your number. You can also enter the number in case it was not the last call received by listening to the entire message after dialing * 6 0 and follow instructions. When the start using another number to harass you block it too. I think you can block at least ten at a time.

I cannot stand these people any more.  Calls at all hours of the day, today was at 6:30am, when 'Wendy' called and almost immediately hung up.  So I did a search on the number and I found this list!  I tried what other before me did by dialing *8 and trying different extensions..2222 - got a person, transferred me to a 'compliance officer' voicemail2233 - got a persons voicemail.2246 - WOOOHOOO I might have actually lucked out, got a 'Jason Brunette' or something like that... informs me he is a VP of some kind and that he is able to look into it and make it stop.  Seemed very helpful.  Irregardless, SPAM their numbers into oblivion!! All of them!

It's CollectCorp a bill collection company. called back hit # and did not leave a message then hit *8 to transfer to new extension, then just kept hitting 4 digit extensions starting with 22 until i hit live person.  when i got one I pretended said 'hey long time no speak, how you been? so listen I wont be able to make the meeting this afternoon" the person was all confused...  I said," wait sorry who is this" they said "mr x from Collectcorp" who were you looking for " oops sorry wrong person completly...bye"

the best thing to do is to ignore them the common saying is if a file has been sent to collection dont pay it it has done the damage to your credit so why bother. many people paid the collection agencies but they stole the money and didnt pay the creditor  .
