guy selling gold... very shady business.

Guy on the other end wanted to sell me Gold futures or something. Conversation went as follows:
Him: Hi my name is x (i don't remember) and i am calling from Gold standard forex (or something)
ME: Do i know you???
Him: Well we spoke briefly a year back or so.
ME: Oh, well I'm not interested
Him: Well, have you been following the trends...
ME: Sorry, I am not interested right now. Thanks.
Him: GO STAY IGNORANT YOU LITTLE F--K!!!

And he hung up. I tried calling back, but the operator said it was disconnected or something. Pretty upsetting. I was quite polite.

I got a call on my cell from this number, which I missed. When I tried calling back I got an automated message. Since I was called minutes before I tried calling back, I grew suspicious and ended up here. Fishy!

Apparently this number is back in vogue?

In checking this site, I see they called me way back in Oct. 2008. Then it was an East Indian woman at a call centre trying to sell me an alarm system. Today's call was an East Indian male, also trying to sell alarms. He knew my name, but with a white pages in hand, that's no great surprise. As it was showing up as a local Toronto number, I told him I was on Cdn. DNC list and not to call back or I would report him. He apologised, said he had not called before and would not call back - we'll see about that, I guess.

Call display came up 'Anonymous" since apparently they have spoofed the 416 area code.

Obviously a scam of some sort.

AGAIN and AGAIN this # (416) 861-9381 calls my house often, they hang up , no message, BUT got a voice of a lady as I guess she was "not listening" and when my answering machine came on, she was "chatting" with someone else beside her.  Tried to make it out, but too quiet and quick , but definately they had very very thick accents of a dark colored person, I am NOT prejudice in ANYWAY, just trying to describe and not sure how

I just got a call from the number "Anonymous".

I kept saying hello hello hello and all I could hear was racket in the background.

I finally told them they had the wrong number so they hung up.

I received a call from this number [(416) 861-9381] and the Indian fellow was offering me Air Duct cleaning services. We get calls of this same offer several times per month despite listing our phone number with the Canadian 'do not call list'. He would not identify the company name. I informed the caller that we were on this list, and to kindly remove our number from his. We were not interested in their services. Other callers phone with 'private' numbers.
