Couldn't believe the check when I opened so it so I googled Wells Fargo and called the location in Van Wert OH.  Spoke to a bank representative to see if check was legit but acct no on check was not valid however the routing no was.  It just all seemed fishy. Thrash Aviation, Internl Claims Dept in Ontario, Canada was on the top of the letter and Thrash Aviation Inc Seattle, WA on check and the address on the check for Wells Fargo was not a good street address.  114 E Main is not right.  It is either 102 E. Main or 115 Hospital.  If you call a Wells Fargo they will definately tell you if the check and acct are legit.  Thank god I was using my head!!!!

This is a total scam. I am shocked that people do this. Especially with the economy the way it is. Don't fall for this. I also got a letter with a check for 4,993.00. Only thousand was spelled right! They state you have to pay them 2995.00. I called them and asked if this was a scam. The lady who took my call sounded like she was reading from a script. I hope they get put in jail, as this is awful. Preying on people who have fallen on desperate times. If I could sue them, I would.

Gold Star Securities Inc. letter statinng you win 250,000 big ones said to call 426 -834-0324. Check spelling is incorrect on the "thousand" part. This is another Nigerian fraud scam guys. Check will bounce after you deposit the check and then send them the taxable amount.

Swiss Financial Securities Inc. won $250K, enclosed check for $4,998 asking for tax due for $2995.00, scam, $4998 check will bounce, they get your $2995 never hear from them again.  Do they think we're stupid or what????  Sent letter did not call me, phone number on letter is below.

Two different companies sited at the same number.  Tell you what.  Makes me wonder how many companies they claim they are.  Probably 419.  Congratulate you for not falling for this.
