I got the same message addressed to Lyle. Obviously a mass text. I sent this email to Fido:I just got a SMS text message from (416) 825-9832. A search of this number shows it to be another FIDO customer. The SMS is promoting an Adult Website. Enter this phone number into your Internet Search and you will see numerous complaints logged on various sites. These texts are also going to people on Do Not Call Lists. Please track this customer down and stop them from sending these type of texts. It tarnishes your corporate image. Here is Fido's response:Dear Steve, Thank you for visiting our website and allowing us the opportunity to assist you. My name is Alex. I am sorry to learn that you have been receiving unwanted text messages. Unfortunately, it is not possible to block text messages on our side. As much as i would like to help you, we cannot access this costumer's account without his or her approval . However, i would advise you to block the number from your fido phone. Mass texts are the same as email spam. This one has a sexual subject. Minors have cellphones and the idiot sending this SMS does not care. This idiot has to be associated with CasualsCanada.com. Where are they getting cell phone numbers? Seeing that it is a mass text, Fido is not making extra money because this idiot probably has unlimited texting. Ask your adult friends if they use Fido.
