Today evening my wife received two phone calls Caller ID (+496940059).  They said that my wife won 10,000 dollar worth of travel package, just to go to the following address to pickup. How come my wife wins that she has not applied for?

While talking they tried to get an idea about how old she is and if she is married and so on.

The address they told:
CBC Customer Service Company,
216 Chrislea Road, Woodbridge, Ontario, L4L 8S5
Tel. (416) 800-1614

They also called to our home phone number that is already listed in “Canadian Do Not Call list”. They know my wife's name as well; don't know how they got that.

I ran a search in Google for “(416) 800-1614”, “216 Chrislea Road” and lot of things did show up.

I just got a call from this number (to my cellphone!) saying I was chosen to receive something from this company because I have a VISA/Mastercard that collects points (didn't verify that part, I was afraid it was some phishing scam when they weren't specific about it). They tried to get a sense of how old I was as well. I just asked them to take my number off their lists (I'm on the Do Not Call list actually). The same company called my house under a different name a couple months ago (I didn't recognize the name until I searched for the number after I hung up).
