Persistent annoying calls from this number with no one there. Each pm between 6 - 7-30pm BC time, which is 9 to 10:30 Ontario time which is suspicious when all businesses are closed at that time. Just ignore and wished I could block this number.

Called and asked for my husband after saying he was from ScotiaBank. ?We don't have an account there, and never have, there isn't even a branch in my area, so I asked what it was regarding and he said "it's a courtesy call".  I told him we don't deal with Scotia Bank and he hung up.

Bull *hit!  I haven't had any ScotiaBank account in the last 15 years and the number (416) 750-6018 called me too!  Silence, of course!   Do you people REALLY THINK that ScotiaBank is so stupid that they would call people who don't even have an account with them???  And, on top of that, they would be silent on the other end of the phone???  Nah!

you do have a legal recourse. simply ask them directly to remove you from their call list.they must comply (probably have a month or so to do so however.)

Called me at 7:40 pm.  Told me that I've been approved for a 10,000 credit card!  awesome!  yeah, right.  ok, so I don't even bank with scotia bank, did years ago in college, but not anymore.  And to top it off, they called my cell phone.  an UNLISTED number.  They wanted to ask a few questions to get my information so they could send the card out.  right.  I'm gonna give that info out.  If I have been approved, they should have that damned information.  So when I said no, I got a lovely dial tone in my ear.  It's gotta be a scam.

Why would Scotia Bank call me when I don't even have a bank account with them?
