Readers Digest just called, I won a large cash prize. I am so suspicious... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------The caller said she was calling "long distance" to confirm my entry information on a Readers Digest Sweepstakes that ended "sometime last July." She could not tell me the name of the sweepstakes or the prize I have "won."She verified my address and phone number. She gave me a File number. She said someone would call in less than 30 minutes to give me the details of my win. She said I would need two forms of identification to give to the caller. She called from (416) 543-9301. I can't find any complaints against the number. I only know that it is a Rogers Wireless number from Toronto, Ontario, Canada.Rest assured, I don't have even the slightest inclination to give any personal information over the phone that you can't get from a Google search. I will ask that they send me the information to my home address, since I'm sure any legitimate sweeepstakes win would require that I sign an affadavit, especially an American company like Readers Digest.
