I answer phone, background noise, then dead air. I also received a call earlier this morning with the same background noise and then dead air from a different number 206 445 6974. For this call my caller ID read "Service Message"

IT Company telling me I have a serious virus on my computer.  They tried this before and somehow got into my computer.  I had to take it to an ex RCMP officer to remove it from my computer.They had the audacity to call me back then, within 1 month.  They are now calling back on this number as well as 403-366-666 saying the same thing.  I have stated that I have called the police and they still keep calling back.....

Called me three times today.  Finally answered on the 3rd call to find out who it was and a guy with an accent asked for me by name, which he mispronounced badly.  I asked who he was and he said "Eric with your pharmacy".  I told him he had the wrong number and to take my phone number off their list and he just hung up on me.Now I'm wondering how they got my information!

What is the purpose of this number calling and then not saying anything when you answer?
