Yes, 416 is Canada area code. These telemarketers are stupid people because they think the rest of us are stupid as they are. They call my business line and don't realize I have caller ID and don't answer these #s that look suspicious. This # is now on my list of #s to watch and I have fun receiving these calls only to her these morons hang up !!!!!

I keep getting called from this number concerning my computer running slowly due to errors

Caller stated he was calling about my Windows computer and that I had downloaded a virus. He wanted me to turn on my PC so he could 'show me'. Caller had a thick accent asked me to press cntr r keys, type www.ammyy.com into the run window. This site will load remote software on your computer. They want to gather information and load software onto your computer for them to have remote access. Report these people to your local FBI office. canadian embassy? really? it's a scammer. calls are being rerouted via skype. this is not microsoft support, nor the US gov't. think about it. why would the US gov't outsource it's calls to India, let alone contact anyone about free money. SMH.

Scam - he was offering me a $9200.00 grant.  Told me he was calling from Washington DC.  I asked why he was popping up as a Toronto number, he insisted he was calling from Washington DC.  I asked for his EIN number and he hung up.

You know something really unusual about these people calling?  They speak gibberish over the phone and try to scam people over and over and over again and again.  They are out of control and guess what - it is highly likely that you may be placed into custody for the violation of the laws of the United States of America.  You say you are calling from CANADA?  Really...if you call anyone else ever again...guess what you will likely be arrested.
