Received a call from this # this morning. No Caller Id was on the display only the number. When I answered the women on the line asked if she was talking to "and she referenced the name on a bank account". I asked who she was and why she was calling she said she was doing a survey for the RBC. Told her never to call again and hung up. Contacted RBC to report and they indicated that there should be no survey calls on their behalf unless its to follow-up on something related to the account. Just a heads up this is probably a scam how they got the account name (it's very unique) is beyond me.

I too received a call from this number (416) 233-0047. The person was just breathing through the phone which sounded very scary and I said “hello!” two times and I hang up. I went online to reverse the number to see who it is; I see that a lot of other people also have received strange phone call from this number.

The best thing to do is to call the police and report his/her sorry ass. Which I did, I wrote an email and report it through phone. If everyone here to do what I did, I am sure he will put back in jail where he belongs.

I'd researched this number online to see if was a telemarketing call....Glad I did!They keep calling my cell phone. And they never leave a message when I don't answer.

Got a call around 8 p.m.  My husband picked up the phone and gave it to me....when I said hello....there was nothing.  Saw the comments up above about RBC.....probably them.

i got a call from these guys no less than 10 times in a day and a half.  i ignored the first 5 then i started answering the next ones to tell them to stop only to find that they didn't even seem to be aware they were calling me.  i could hear background conversations but no one was responding.  then this morning they called again and someone finally asked for me by name.  before they could say anything i told them i was sick of the calls and to not call back.  they hung up without another word.i have only my mortgage with rbc and i already did a survey with them over the phone which was much more legit sounding and professional.  i called rbc anyway and complained and they took my info and said they would look into it.if it was possible to reach through the phone and tear someones f'ing throat out i would have done it to these call center guys a half dozen times already.

I recieved a call today. He asked for my son by his first name only. I stated that he was not home and asked if I could take a message, he said no but would call back. I asked again if he would leave a message and he refused. I told him not to bother calling back. My son happens to have a RBC account!! We are in Nova Scotia.

Madam,I am an employee at said compay we are very much legit we represent RBC they are the ones who prepare the survey and give us stricked guide lines to adhare to . The reason that sometimes there is a pause or silenece on the phone is that Virtual Call Centre program which is our autodilaler is not the newist of systems and often malefunctions , this being said it chimes when your number comes up on my screen and your info along with your telephone number the bank has on it file comes up . We can only speak to the person listed regardless if its joint if the person who picks up the phone is not listed we can not proceed and we make a call back appoiment with the calander section option at the bottom of our screen usually for the next day unless indcated by the customer otherwise. IF you want to speak to a live person aka a supervisior you can call (416) 233-8548 and speak to our receptionist Roanne who will the director your call to one of our daytime supervisiors Bradley or Helen during the day or our night time supervisors at 228 # Daniel , Renee ,Rachelle , or Fraser or Anne or Maya and they can put you on our dnc list . I just received a phone call from this number (416) 233-0047. It's a business marketing research company out of etobicoke (toronto). Doing an RBC survey.  I then called this number (416) 233-1555  (actual office number for the call center in etobicoke) and asked for my number to be removed from their list and they were very pleasant and it was no problem.  Hope this helps.
