Received a call from this # this morning. No Caller Id was on the display only the number. When I answered the women on the line asked if she was talking to "and she referenced the name on a bank account". I asked who she was and why she was calling she said she was doing a survey for the RBC. Told her never to call again and hung up. Contacted RBC to report and they indicated that there should be no survey calls on their behalf unless its to follow-up on something related to the account. Just a heads up this is probably a scam how they got the account name (it's very unique) is beyond me.

I too received a call from this number (416) 233-0047. The person was just breathing through the phone which sounded very scary and I said “hello!” two times and I hang up. I went online to reverse the number to see who it is; I see that a lot of other people also have received strange phone call from this number.

The best thing to do is to call the police and report his/her sorry ass. Which I did, I wrote an email and report it through phone. If everyone here to do what I did, I am sure he will put back in jail where he belongs.

Rec'd call from (416) 233-0047 on my CELL PHONE! at 3:55pm EDT.  When I said hello, all I could hear was the sound of someone typing on a key board, then a busy signal.  I guess the hung-up.Moments before I received a call from a bogus number 1238019.  My guess is both numbers are bogus and used by someone on an IP phone.Ahh, modern technology.

derek p

received call at 5.33pm local time from ontario asking if I could talk a short (2 minute) survey on behalf of rbc.Asked if I had been to my branch in the last month.I said no. they hung up.

no name

you guys, that marketing call on behalf on rbc is a legitimate survey company, if they say there will be personal acct information being used, then their wont be. if then ask for personal private acct info then it's different. rbc DOES have outside companies conducting surveys because they want to know how their customer service is. it is not a scam!! let the ppl on the other line talk, then decide if you want to continue or not with the damn survey. again, it is a legitimate company just doing a SURVEYYY nothing more! realax!!

I just got a phone call from this number, the women asked for my husband by his first and last name, no middle name though,  when I said he was not available and could I please take a message for him, the women quickly said no she would call back, I asked if she was sure she did not want to leave a message and she said she would try again later, this struck me as odd, being that if you call a persons house and they are not available usually one would leave a message or why are they calling, I googled the phone number and got this thread................Thank you!

I have just received 3 calls from this number in the past 3 hours (Saturday morning)! That's now a total of 7 calls in the past 4 days, usually around 5:30 PM. I have blocked the number, so it no longer rings and bothers us, but it goes straight to voice mail. They have never left a message.BTW I am an RBC customer. Is this just a coincidence, or did RBC really give out our numbers to an outside agency for surveys? If that's true, what other information is RBC selling to outside agencies? This makes me mad!

Got a call from that number a few moments ago, asked for my daughter by her formal name(no one else calls her that name) plus she hasn't lived with us for years. Asked if I could take message for her, the young man said no.
