Hi. This number is a payphone from the Lake Louise Area. It is not any sort of mystery. The calls are likely from a number of people and that is why there are a number of things happening. People get wrong numbers. :)

I haven received a few call from this number on my Cell phone and the most recent one is Sunday Sep 26 at 11:53 am (so almost noon). I called it back today and just got a dial tone..

I am very Very very pissed off.. I pay for a Blocked Number that doesn't display on caller id's to whom I am calling.. I am with Rogers and They say they can't do anything.. I also pay for Call Manager that I can block specific numbers from calling.. ie: when a number shows up I just go online and type it in and "POOF" they can't get through anymore.. A**holes..

But what infuriates me is all numbers like this.. WHY WHEN WE ARE PAYING can ROGERS do absolutely NOTHING about them.. not even.. Oh we have a list of numbers we are getting a lot of complaints about, let me add this to the list or see if its already there and block it AS A WHOLE NETWORK.. I am very selective to who I give my CELL number to and If i get a private caller or a number i don't know you are going to get attitude from me.. THIS IS MY F^&*ING CELL... WHO THE F^&K ARE YOU...WHY ARE YOU CALLING..

I think the governments should be passing bills on stronger personal information security and BANNING Companies from going outside to have call centers.. Those Countries like the Philippines and India have different morals and laws and probably think its cool to be able to call someone in Canada.. MY BANK of all things has call centers in the PHILIPPINES...now that is messed

And the reason I am bringing this up because I have been a victim of callers from GHANA (Beside TOGO close to Nigeria) They harassed me for months and I would answer and they would be speaking their language That I DON"T understand.. But yet THEY ARE CALLING MY CELL PHONE.... How they got my number IS what pisses me off.. And good ol' ROGERS WIRELESS said they could do S**T about it..

WE NEED AMENDED LAWS.. I am just sick of being harassed and not really being able to do much..

Got 2 calls from this number today. It was my aunt in Hong Kong calling me. I know only because she called me at the house number after I rejected the call from (403) 444-4970 on my cell. She said she had called me earlier today (the first time I rejected the call). This number seems to be some covert/redirect line of some sort. Why is this type of calling possible anyway when scams are so rampant?? Why can't they just show the real phone number??

In the past when I receive calls (on my cell) from Hong Kong, the caller ID had been a 604 number. Now, it's this 403-444-4970.

Ya, me too - don't know what's up with that weird dial tone.

I got this call twice, it's a company from Vancouver, and the people doing some servey. however, they are not nice, if your answer does not met their requirement, they will say " you to die and f*** you" , that makes me very angry.
