I receive calls from this number claiming to be from a financial misconduct division in Florida, but the number is listed from NY. The caller has a foreign accent and claims to be trying to collect money owed on something I paid off 5 yrs ago. When I asked for the phone number to call them back I'm given 954-374-7556 but my caller ID shows (343) 729-0397. Apparently my personal information was sold cause he does not even have my name correct. THIS HAS TO BE A SCAM TO GET MONEY...........

Keeps calling for a former employee, saying they are a law firm out of Gainesville FL. Something strange is happening it needs to stop!

Some kind of debt collection agency called my office looking for a person who hasn't worked here since before I came to work here several years ago.  Apparently this person had bad debt and had the same phone number as me because I have been getting these collection calls for her, for over 3 years now.  Some guy on the phone who was barely intelligible said I was being transferred to the "Financial Misconduct Division".  When this manager sounding guy called I told him the person he was looking for had not been here in years, that this was an office, I was sick of getting calls for her and they needed to stop.  I then hung up on him.  They called back two minutes later, I put it straight to voicemail (which answers with my name which is NOT the same as the person they're looking for, I don't even know her).  Just another annoyance until this office manages to implement a call block.

my wife received a call from (343) 729-0397 from "Sam Lee" with an Indian accent demanding on talking with me while I was at work.  She stated she was my wife, and all "legal matters" can be dealt with through her.  He said "it is none of YOUR business, now let me talk to your husband now!"  She hung up after he kept threatening her.  He wanted her to have me call back at +1 800-253-8218 which comes up as a recently purchased number and traced to 13 different forwards in 12 different states and one country...India!  This is obviously a fraud, and I'm going to the link provided, and also contacting local authorities.  My wife is on the phone with them now.

Deb and everyone,PLEASE contact the Lawyer on this website - http://www.consumerlawfirm.com.I have been experiencing the same issues and cannot get them to stop.  Two weekends ago, I called them back so many times, they told me to quite calling them.  (haaaaaaaaaaa, how do you like that, eh?)  There are MANY phone numbers that they call from.  Some from Florida, some California, but none of them can be traced.This attorney knows all about them and they just need our help to stop them.PLEASE call them.  Hang in there,

I too have been received repeated phone calls. Yesterday it was literally over 100 times on my cell phone. I spoke with these people once who stated that I owe "dollar sign five two three." To whom do I owe this, I asked? Oddly, the reception became jumbled at that point, and at all "important information" points throughout the call. I would let the calls not bother me if I was sure it wasn't wasting minutes on my cell phone. If I owe someone money, let the entity to whom I owe it contact me and tell me who they are. I have contacted an attorney.
