RECeived a call from The above number, I comfront the caller who then just hung up. CAller has an Indian Accent but with an English name.

They keep calling me too.  They leave messages saying they are from the Financial misconduct division.  I assume that they are trying to scare me because I had an internet loan in 2005 and filed bankruptcy.

I get calls at my job from this number, they have called my job, sexually harrassed my coworkers, threatened to kill me, lock me up, but cannot tell me why they are calling, it is quite annoying! My job pressed charges, and now they are calling again, they all have indian accents, and american names, and the scam is ridiculous!

They stopped calling me (the call back number they used on me was 954-607-4512.)  I told them I knew they were a scam and would never send them a dime. I told them that they could call my co-workers, my family & my friends all they wanted to and they STILL would not get a dime from me as everyone of them know that they are a scam as well.  I have also reported them to the secret service, the FBI, the attorney generals office of both California and Florida and the FTC. Every back to back call they made, I would tell them the same thing (sometimes they would try to yell over me and I would yell back the same thing 'you will NEVER EVER get one thin dime from me, you third world country thieving dirt bag'.  It has been several weeks and I have not heard back from them.  Let them know that you mean business and you will not give in to their extortion threats.  Do not believe a word that they say.  And most importantly - DO NOT SEND THEM ANY MONEY!!!!!peace  :)

has anybody experienced anything derogatory from theese companies?

I am being harrassed at my place of employment by these people.  We do not have caller id on the job, but this may be yet another number that they use +1 800-253-8218.  Different numbers, different names, but I am pretty sure they're the same people.  Heavy accents, using names like Martin, Henry, Patrick . . . voices and speech patterns sound the same.  They have given the following addresses so far:  1408 Bayview Court, Fort Myers, FL 33901 and 1048 Bayview Court, Fort Myers, FL 32204 - fax number (646) 861-4798; and the Better Business Bureau (BBB) lists the number (904) 239-3963, which I believe is a Jacksonville, FL number. I have filed a complaint with FTC, the Florida Attorney General's Office; and with the Consumer Protection Agency in my state of residency.  They are listed as a collection agency on the BBB website.  I have found out that they are not a registered collection agency, at least not in the state of Florida.  They refer to themselves as "The Law Firm of . . . ".  I called the Florida Bar Association, and there wer no record found for a "Law Firm of Jason Reed & Associates" as being a licensed practice.  My next move is to contact the consumer law firm listed above.  Anybody want to go kick some butt . . . just give me a second . . .let me get my other boot on. :)
