had 2 calls today and just googled right away and luckily found this since I had my phone muted at the time of calls... This number called my cell but I didn't see it at the time & no msg left. I called it back later - it's NRG research group which is a perfectly legitimate market research company in Winnipeg that conducts opinion polls, focus groups etc. You don't have to be afraid of them. This is how businesses collect info about their products or services & helps them better it by getting feedback from the public. Focus groups even pay for your time! Received a call from (204) 989-8235. Did not answer as I was busy They did not leave a voice mail so I did not call back. First time I got called from this number. Will see if it comes through again I got a call from the same number on a Friday night, I didn't pick up the call and they didn't leave a voicemail. After reading these comments and looking online, it seems suspicious to me. Blocked! wont stop phoning . asking me about if i drive which i dont and proceed to ask driving related questions Caller: (204) 989-8235
call, they don't leave messages - and since I don't recognize the phone number, I don't answer..they are annoying - whomever 'they' are!!!
MTS tellamarking of all people to bug bug me my family (STOP) This report was send too RCMP did not answer ... This number called my phone around 430 and again around 830, I answered the call, she said she was calling from energy research, on behalf of Manitoba public insurance. Told her I could not talk ATM, said she will call me back tomorrow, asked me my name and I said well how did you get my phone number ! ? She said it's randomly picked. More of a nuisance if anything Called and said they were doing research on Union Gas customers and we hung up. I hate being bugged. Just called me. No one on other end when answered. Then no voicemail. Seems to be a phone scam number or survey crap judging by the previous posts. I just received a phone call from this number (9PM local time). They said they were doing a survey for Canada Post, so I said maybe. First question: the number I just called is it a landline or a cell phone; and I said how did you get this number? She said it was randomly selected. OK, so I said you pick what you want... She said I can't, you have to tell me which one it is. I said, sorry but I would not answer that question expecting to continue on the survey but she said, sorry I can't continue. OK, i said and Bye... Why would Canada Post cared if you are on a landline or a cell phone? They call about research on Manitoba Hydro and telling something that i dont understand , i was suspicious so i told him to call back . Google it and seems one of those scams. They should not phone cell phones. They are jerks. All i want to say is that when you see this phone number, don't pick up. It was charged to my bill. Why It is ILLEGAL for a survey company to leave a voice message on an answering machine! If a Survey Company calls a number and reaches an answering machine, they MUST hang up, and then they keep retrying until they reach a human, if they do not reach a human after 8+/- times, they have to stop, and that number is thrown back into their system for another survey. I know this, as I and my friendF have worked for a Survey Company/s in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Who is this really then? they just called me. i thought it said energy research. asked me if i had a safe place to talk. i said ya and thought she was guna tell me some secret s*** about some energy research they were doin. then they asked if i was 21 to 25? i was like no. then shes like nevermind thats all i have to ask you. i was like am i in danger or something? but she hung up. i was like what the f*** the government is after me or something. then i googled the number and found this. now i realise she was asking if i had a safe place to talk as in im not driving or anything. and i also realise i smoke too much weed its making me paranoid. Yes, it's a survey call. This time they were doing a survey for ATB Financial. I was really surprised that they actually left a polite voicemail. Not a recording - an actual person!!! i called them back. they are nrg research. we just got a call from this number and they asked for Anita Y.....? And I just said it was a wrong number. Hopefully this wasn't a scam. A female was calling. This survey company called me last night at 7:40 pm and it sounded safe enough so I agreed to a "short survey". The guy started by saying they would like to speak to a male member of the household and I told him he was out of luck and he said OK, I'll talk to you. (mistake a$$hole). He then asked me if I was a Canadian Citizen - yes, worked for the media (newspapers, etc.) -no. Was I going to vote in the Federal election. I told him to mind his own business and I wasn't going to answer any questions of this nature. Much back peddling as to why I should answer, etc. I hung up. I feel this is a political game to help determine support for the "conservative" party trying to get a majority in the upcoming election.
