female caller asked for my wife, who was out.  she said my wife had won a trip to orlando , a cruise, etc.  She identified herself as Heather something from RCI Travel.I asked for a number so my wife could call her back as I knew nothing about this contest, and she suggested a conference call to my wife.  I gave the number where my wife was and waited online until I got the beeping indicating a dropped line.  she had mentioned that we'd need a Visa card, but had not yet asked for a card number, if that was her intent.easy come, easy go.  maybe not so easy if she had gotten any info from us.

Hello

Concerned Citizen

BEWARE. Male caller asked for my spouse and when advised not available asked for an alternative number. He spoke in a hurry and I had to ask him to slow down so he can identify (1) company he represents (2) nature of call.  Of course I did not disclose any information, he insisted on getting an alternate number, tried to confirm I am the spouse and then hurriedly spoke about our winning entry to a Disney World vacation, an entry he claimed my spouse completed through the RCI website (which my spouse never does). Then he asked me to validate my spouse's DATE OF BIRTH! That is a trigger for me to identify this as a SCAM and told him this type of information is never disclosed to a third party on the phone.  He then said he will try again at another time as he does not have a number my spouse can call back.It is an unpublished phone number. BEWARE everyone and advise your friends and relatives, never release your personal identification and credit card numbers over the phone and always ask questions why you have to disclose them.

Caller offered all expenses paid trip for two to Orlando and somewhere  else in Florida, then a seven day cruise to the Bahamas. I would pay $287 per person for registration. Caller wanted my credit card number right then; would not wait until I read the material she claimed she would be sending me.  I refused to give my credit card number.
