Doc

Been getting called on two separate phones in the house from this number and usually no one there except one time a female voice kept saying "hello" in response to my "hello's". Am getting tired of it.

Folks, buy a Telezapper.  $30 or less on eBay.  It will bump your phone # out of the database, for any calls dialed by a computer "predictive dialer".  Got a call from this number today; our Telezapper beeped & the call immediately disconnected.  It fools these machines into thinking your number is disconnected.  Then, if they're using the right kind of machinery, they should not be able to call you again.  All you have to do is explain to your legitimate callers why your phone beeps when you pick up.

Not a legitimate number. Anything with two overlayed or adjacent Canadian area codes in the prefix for the same number is not issued, per http://cnac.ca/co_codes/co_code_status_map.htm and http://cnac.ca/data/ac905.htmThat means that +1-613-343-xxxx, +1-416-647-xxxx,  +1-905-613-xxxx, +1-905-416-xxxx, +1-905-905-xxxx and the like do not and *cannot* exist. 905 is an area code, not a local exchange. The caller-ID info is therefore bogus. No idea, then, why this number just called my mobile 'phone in direct defiance of the do-not-call list.
