got same check and letter for $250,000 i knew it was too good to be true....

I received the exact same letter stating I won $250.000. A check in the amount of $4995.00 was included with the letter. This is a SCAM.. do not attempt to cash it... these people should be locked up and put behind bars for the rest of there lives. It is unbelievable that these foreign criminals are getting away with it.

Same check same "winning  number" 98-44 etc.  New name and phone number.

this is a letter stating i have won 9,968.00 from the north america consumer promotion draw. this letter came with a check for 996.80 to pay for taxes. is this a scam or what. the no. that i am supost to call is 1-(905) 781-8853. i have not called this no. for fear of being a scam but my curiosity is geting the best of me.

I got the same check for $4,995. I called and the woman sounded so blah. I checked it our just to make sure and sure enouguh it is a scam.

I recieved tha same letter as evreyone else.I never called the number(905) 598-4736)I noticed the misspelling on the letter head.That was the first clue wich prompted me to inquire on the net further.wich is when I found this site.I did call the bank about the check wich a nice lady told me that it was a fake.These people sholud be shot praying on people's fears and insecurites in an economic time like this.Thanks to everyone that has reported this scam.you would think with so many reports being made by so many people something would be done!I hope these people get cought and rot in jail!!!!
