jan 11 2012  asking for money for a bill

Received the call around 6:30.  I did not answer the call.  They left no message on machine.. I let it ring for about 10 times +

Received this call around 3:50pm. Was told i owed money on a mastercard. I don't even have a mastercard. Obviously this is some kind of fraud or scam.

all I could find out about it was its from COOKSVILLE, ON and its a landline with bell

I've had two calls so far, and this time they left a message.  "Hi, my name is Jean Paul, I am calling from Citi Card Canada.  This is an important message for Adam Wall[not my name]. Would you please call us at 1-+1 800-420-1686. Your reference number is your telephone number, 001-4### [which is not my telephone number; my telephone number is 101-2### (not the real numbers - just to give the idea]."  He then gave the business hours. It seemed a bit fishy to me, after reading some of the other comments on this and other sites. I do not hold any cards from Citi, the number was wrong, and the name was wrong.  Very strange.

Scam to get your cc and personal info! Don't answer when they call. Also if you'reon telus dial *60 and enable call screening. Also report it to the RCMP phonebusters line.
