Hey man, at the moment I am going through the training week and my story is exactly the same as yours I saw their ad on kijiji and I applied, got interviewed and the same day I got hired. I'm also being trained to sell the same product, the Respiraide. But since I started the training I have become more and more skeptical about this whole ordeal which is what eventually led me here, I've been looking up on this Respiraide adverstisement and from all the comments and posts I've seen I just dont feel comfortable at all anymore with these people. I can't say first hand whether or not it is a scam for sure but its looking more and more like it everyday. I mean the training is thorough and its professional but weve been focused so much on it I feel its blinding us to whats really going on. I'm just not sure what to do. Also, they are telling us that the owner is in court right now for a cocaine trial? That hes doing mandatory civil service and must be present in court for the duration of the trial, I dont know if that has anything to do with the court case you mentioned.

I'm that guy

I did get one of those cards in the mail years ago (2005), we won a prize. I phoned and set up a demo with a sales man. Yes it was a Tristar with a in home vacuum demo. After about an hour we ended up with a new vacuum. Cause we bought a vacuum we got a big prize, a trip to Vegas.....the lower end hotel and a mid week trip. We never did cash in on that LOL.So years later, 2011. We get a free service call for our vacuum. Now they are in our house checking over the vacuum. Mean while he has put a air purifier in a kids home. Another sales pitch as I own a vacuum. This is the best part, that day we get a bingo card in the mail and scratch it while he's talking to us. We won a laptop, really! We showed the sales man the card and he said it's not theirs, he knows what his looks like. On the back it says Tristar or Respiraide......now what prize will this get me LOL. The vacuum works great, a life time warranty and service calls. I have carpet and animals plus small kids, a good vacuum is a must. No I'm not a sales man, just a guy.

Calgary Guy

Someone should take these guys for missing some small print.

There is nothing that says that I have to watch this presentation. I only have to qualify for, and agree to one. If I decide to make him do his presentation in the snow, or to talk through the bathroom door while I take a shower, or start playing my PS3 while he's doing what he's gotta do...I haven't broken any rules. Hell...I don't even have to be home...I still agreed.

Before you do though, you should flat out ask what the prize that corrosponds to your matching symbols is...cause for all we know, some of the prizes could be pencils, or waffles.

What's even funnier is that all of our cards are void. It's true...because we scratched them. "Card void if mutilated, altered, or forged." If I'm not mistaken, I believe we have all either mutilated or altered our cards.

I love fine print...it's so amusing.

Want some more? "Prizes must be accepted as awarded"...hahahahaha. Here's your Laptop in a garbage bag filled with poo. "Promotion may be terminated without notice at any time"...like right after you decide not to buy the vacuum. "So what's my prize?" "Oh...I'm sorry, the contest ended 5 minutes ago".

Last, if you see the back of the card, they have listed 5 different winning combinations. There are 12 scratch areas. Mathematically, you can't lose...then even better...on the front of the card (prolly cause they didn't think about it till after) I guarantee that you all have one symbol that doesn't appear anywhere (a random flower maybe). Otherwise...you'd win twice!

Seriously...call them up, and after having waited for the perfect time to do it...Let go the biggest fart you can muster into the receiver...then laugh and hang up.

Merry Christmas

Hey guys. Sorry to hear you were scammed as a result of this company's terrible business practices.
I will give you a little background on myself. I recently saw a kijiji job posting ad that led me to find out about the Respiraide. Upon completion of their training program and a lot of deliberation I said to myself "Well, my integrity and reputation are worth much more then a paycheck" so I decided to second-guess my decision to go on board with this company. But it was too late. I already contracted myself into selling for this company and was given a device for demonstration purposes.

Long story short, after extensive research on business law, I have I will file a small claims court case and am planning to sue this company for misrepresentation as they were asking me to contract myself into engaging in business that is contrary to the Business Practices Act of Ontario. Simply put, the business model of this company is very "fly by night."

Wish me luck. I'm sure most of you want to take down this company as well, as it has probably put many in debt with their shady programs. If you would like to contact me about being a possible witness it would really help the case! If enough people are interested, we can even attempt to file a class action suit... if any of you want to help, please leave your email and I will contact you.

All the best,
V.
