Funny,  their lists must be really old.  They asked for someone who had our phone number 12 years ago.

Ok so from what I've read, you're all a bunch of morons. Yes, it is Mystique Event Marketing calling you. It's based out of Hamilton, Ontario. They are NOT a charity. They are a 3rd party company hired by real charities to raise funds by hosting events.For those of you that think they are a scam, you are WRONG. They have many different events going on for different charities. They handle charities such as: Help A Child Smile Foundation; Camp Maple Leaf; The Law Enforcement Torch Run; etc.. They host such events as: Rodeos; NHL Alumni Hockey Games; Magic Shows (Greg Frewin); etc..I understand that every now and then you will come across a rude caller, but don't hold that against the company. All of their callers are monitored by someone who listens to their calls. The rude ones don't usually stay employed long.As for the person who said that the CRTC "do no call list" does not apply because they are a charity, you are wrong. The rules apply to their call centre because they are NOT a charity, they are a 3rd party company. I can tell you for a fact that they do indeed have a "do not call list", though you have to ask nicely, or they will most likely keep you on the rotation. I have seen that first hand, as I use to work there. Also, if you are put on the dnc list, it will only apply to that particular event. They will unfortunately still call you for their other events.If you want to attend one of their events but are not sure that the charity itself is legit, just ask for the supervisor/manager and they will be able to give you the charity's registration number. Only the supervisors/managers have that information.For the record, I left that company because one of the supervisors was harassing myself and others. But eventhough that happened, I will still stand by the company itself. I was given the chance to experience some of their events first hand and witnessed the happiness it brought the children that were sponsored on behalf of many generous people.

Found out that it is a marketing company who tries to sell tickets to events in your area to help raise funds for children who are ill and unfortunate! I have actually bought tickets from them on a few occasions but out of there Welland Office!
