a man called and i asked him who he was he said from global internationals i asked him where he got my phone # and he said from my dad well thats kinda funny my dads in the hospitel from a stroke and has been there for a year and he cant talk and that made me more mad and angery

I have been receiving calls from this Co. for months.They kept calling even after they said I was removed from calling list.Finally having had enough I just went off,never cussed like that before and Im a truck driver for 30 yrs. Told them I would call them 50 times every time they called.I made 25 before Iwas given this #, believe me this is directly from voicemail from them.1-+1 877-234-1838 ext.1838. This person is some kind of supervisor,she informed me my name and # was removed from the case. We'll see.I hope this will help somebody get these people off their back.

I just save the creditor numbers under one name on my cell and set the ring tone to "no ring"..let em call..lol

Heavily-accented person called my work asking for a former employee.  Wanted to know where she worked and her phone number.  Told him that I don't have that information (even if I did I wouldn't give it to him).  Even kept asking for info after I told him that I had no contact information.  Very strange...

When I called back to find out what these guys wanted,
I was told that I had an old credit card bill that I never paid.
When I looked into it, it turns out that they were right (oops!).  
I was able to settle my account for half the amount owing.

The number belongs to a company called Global Credit Collection, which uses several different telephone numbers from the  Ontario (Canada) region, to make harassing calls to the USA. It is unknown if they make the same type of harassing calls within Canada. However, because they have made harassing calls to our Organization, we have initiated an international investigation regarding their cross-border harassment of private citizens.

If you get a call from that Global Credit Collection or from any of their telephone numbers, and they refuse to call you, contact the Canada Radio-Television and Telecommunications Commission. Visit CRTC at: http://www.crtc.gc.ca, to file a complaint online or call 1-+1 877-249-2782.
