keep getting calls from this number but they won't say anything!!!

i got a call this afternoon. the voice on the other end waited just a little too long to speak so i just hung up as she said hello.

06/16 ?I just got a call for the first time ever from this number.  I found out it's based in Canada somewhere and is a phishing/information fraud attempt.  I've never had this happen before.  My cell # is unlisted/private so I don't know how they got my number, but they're pretty persistent.  I didn't give any information and hung up on them.  Right away, I filed a complaint with the FCC.  I also Googled the number, and there are alot of posts about this number and what info they're trying to get and its pretty much the same across the board.  Please be careful and speak up about this! who is calling me?

got called from this number today at 7:50 am (pacific) but they did not leave msg. I called the number at 8:42 a.m (same day) and msg from phone co said the number has been disconnected but then they recalled me at 8:44 am -- its some sort of educational place...couldnt understand the accent. So I asked them to remove my name and he said so can I call back? NO REMOVE MY NAME!!!! Going to report to the Do not call list.

That means its outbound calls onely not incoming calls!!!
