they keep calling probably twice a month, is getting very annoying

They called me - I did a Google search and found this page so I thought I would add my comment.

they have many phone#s they call from i used to work for them very unprofessional company if you ask to be takin off the call list the owner makes a fuss,they for the herald plus ontario papers,this company has pay cheques bounce,their power was turned off at one time plus their phones, and to top it all off there is one fellow who works there taht uses drugs he goes outside on breaks and lights up the pipe, do you really want these people valling you to sell you the herald i would not give my banking info or c,card info to these people they have recorders that record your call but you dont know that because they dont tell you that its not right all your info you give the sales person is kept and loaded on the owners computer be careful of this company macinnis marketing.

HMMM I was interested to find this thread on MacInnis Marketing. The company is a joke. They are obsessive over selling their little newspapers, most of them small towns in Ontario in butt F*** nowhere that have small community newspapers you wouldn't want your cat to take a [***] on.  Very few people want them even for the price of $3/week.The company does not like you to ask questions, they don't use computers, or headsets so I ended up with a pinched nerve in my hand from repeatedly having to dial the old fashioned way. Thats right folks they don't even have an automated dialer.I went there to make a little extra money; what I got was to work with a bunch of yahoo's who wear ball hats to work and talk about where they are getting their next cheap beer. One guy even refers to himself as 'Pimp Daddy'. And believe me he was nothing to look at.When not obsessing over their group lottery tickets, they can be found out back having a puff on the old herbal cigarette. The office is filthy. I looked at the same dirty floor for months, that never even saw a mop never mind a buffing.And yes folks they have an ex-employee who is up on charges of murder. Vincent? And then there's the issue of getting paid. Let's just say the old routine of 'checks in the mail' applies to MacInnis Marketing. In short I didn't get paid. I got ignored for two weeks over the issue and don't expect to ever see a cheque.As for the National Do Not Call List, newspapers and charities are exempt, but if you don't want to be called you are suppose to be put on MacInnis marketing's do not call list.Don't work here folks, The bonus structure is just about unobtainable due to the fact that so many people read the paper online. If you want to be exposed to some real characters (think Hi I'm Larry, this is my brother Darrell, this is my other brother Darrell) then this office is a real anthropological gem.  I'm fairly sure one fella was Darwins missing link and let us not forget the above mentioned Pimp Daddy!And let us not forget.......I did not get PAID. As a final note, the Chronicle herald no longer hires these clowns to sell papers. They call Ontario only for such literary gems as the North Bay Nugget (eye role) and work solely for Sun Media. Unless Sun Media comes to their senses, but then what would happen to Pimp Daddy?They do randomly call households in nova scotia over flyer delivery. I mean really? THis is actually a job calling someone and asking them if they got their flyers delivered.They have a rinky dink off ce on Tacoma Drive in Dartmouth. Behind the paint store and the dollar store. Drop by some time and see the characters!s

What I don't understand, is why they are calling ONTARIO for a NOVA SCOTIA newspaper?! Boggles my mind.

me too i hate that ..time to delete them with a simple call and a s**t storm of quit calling me or ill start a blog on your company and how they are very annoying lol...then maybe instead of increasing buisness they will start to lose buisness ....
