    After reading about this number online, I contacted "Scene.ca" and here is the email I got back from them:

    @Chris,  I'm sorry to hear that we lost you as a customer and I'm sure your branch would be more then happy to deal with you regarding this.  I know how annoying it is being called (my household gets called all the effing time for window cleaning etc) and it is not our intention to lose customers with calling them.  I wish I could magically have it all stop but I will tell you that we are doing everything we can to have to have them investigate this and fix it!  Us employees know its not normal.  Please keep in mind that we are just doing our job and even though people literally rip us to shreds for it on the phone, we're people just like you (some employees are more annoying then others and we can't stand some of them too).  We do have feelings even though they may want us to act like robots, and we are someones child, wife, husband, sibling, cousin etc etc just like anybody else.

    Here, it's four times per day. They're almost as bad as that b***h who keeps calling for BMO.

    This is ScotiaBank. Just called the 1800-4-SCOTIA from the back of my debit card and spoke to a nice lady there who confirmed calls from this number are from their sales dept. She confirmed some details about me and said she had removed me from their lists and says from now on they will only contact me if there are issues with my account.

    We're getting this calls, too. I work at home, so these kinds of interruption are hugely annoying. When either of us pick up the phone, there's no answer. The only Scotiabank connection I can think of is my Cineplex Scene card. If this is the kind of bullsh*t sales I agreed to when I signed up, I will be cancelling the card and throwing it in the trash.
