They have called me every single day for the past 6 days, and I haven't picked it up. I don't bank with or have any credit cards with Scotia Bank, but you know what it is? It's your SCENE card. Take your phone number off your SCENE account, or you can call them at 1-866-586-2805.I just did, and they modified my "subscription" (funny, because I never consented to over-the-phone solicitation). Scotiabank b*****ds! It was Scotiabank to offer me a pre aproved credit card because I have a Scene movie card that is affiliated with them. I sent a email to both the Scotia Bank and the Ombudsman.

They call me about twice a week, about 7pm. If I answer, I get a beep and then it hangs up,
If I leave it,, I get no VM. If I call back, I get a voice message telling me they are open until 8pm and I should call back when they are open????
I have called during the day and it really is ScotiaBank, they tell me they will put me on their DNC, which will take 30 days to kick in. It does stop for a while, then they start again, I;m now on my 3rd try to get them stopped. As soon as my mortgage fixed rate is over, they have lost a customer.
I hope they read this but I doubt it.
After getting a call from this number (I didn't pick up) and hearing that this may be related to Scotiabank/Scene, I went to Scene.ca, logged in to my Scene account, and found out that I had been subscribed to all sorts of offers from Scotiabank/Scene INCLUDING Telemarketing. So, if you have a Scene card and you're getting these phone calls, I suggest you log in and unsubscribe.I'm not positive this will work, but it's my suggestion for now.
