Scotia Bank trying to get you to sign up for their Scotia Momentum credit card with some low interest rate, or try to sign you up on a line of credit.
Pre-approve this or that...
This should be the real deal company, since they sounded like they knew a lot about my credit history.
I did what you said and accepted the credit card offer, and you were right, they have not called again. When the card comes I will just not use it that much, but at least I have stopped the phone calls because we have a sick person in the house and need quiet. Called 2010-11-23 8:10 my wife answered on speaker phone because any time I pick up it is dead air. He started asking my wife for me and as soon as I said this is he, the man hung up. I called back and left a message using my share of choice language.. Went to the bank and told them to never call me, send me a f****n letter if they need something.... just called me.. wish there was some way to send a text with s*** in it to them . I have been getting calls from this number as well, I haven't answered yet. Next time I will answer and tell them to put me on their do not call list. If they keep it up, like I have read in the previous comments, my suggestion is to file a complaint at the CRTC (Canadian Radio-television and telecommunications Commission). And I'm sure it will help if everyone in this situation files a complaint.
I have been ignoring the calls, but its happening every day. Why did I register at the do not call registry again? Oh yeah...To stop the telemarketers from calling my number every day.
Here is the website to file a complaint:
I went to www.scene.ca and logged in with my scene card. Then I clicked on my profile, and edited my profile so that i was UNSUBSCRIBED to text messaging, telemarketing, mailings etc.
Hope this helps!
