I missed a call from this number and when I called back, the automated machine picked up and said "thank you for calling Verizon." I'm not a customer of theirs, nor have I ever been. Weird that they are contacting me. I just hope this was a one time occurance. I am tired of getting these 888 #'s! I keep my grand children & every day when I am getting one to sleep I get a call from this # 888-871-0778!!! I don't want any telemarketers or survey calls...I DO NOT HAVE TIME FOR THEM!!!! No one on the line. I've been getting calls from this number and it says it starts off with a long pause, then saying it's Verizon's marketing number and they are calling about my data plan...I can press 1 to opt out. After getting a million calls, I called Verizon and told them I was upset about the volume of calls, to which they replied, they don't do that...so they put a block on my phone for "marketing calls" from anyone. Still getting this call. But just a thought, it might not actually be Verizon. So disappointed with automated calls from "Verizon". They say they are trying to provide good customer service to you by making sure you are on the best plan. How about having an actual person call me if you are so concerned about me as a customer? I was already planning to leave when my contract expires in March. Thanks for giving me the extra push I needed to check into the other companies. Treat me as a customer or I will leave your company - done. Got a call from this number to my work desk phone. Of course the creeps to couldn't even leave a message. I have read other posts that this is Verizon.
