Ann, The Cerebral Palsy Association is a different charity all together. Caller ID will show CPAA for Alberta branch on call display when they call. This number is AACL Alberta Association for Community Living which does not display on your phone. They raise money for people on government assistance who are developmentally delayed. I have donated to both thinking it was the CPAA each time. I realized my confusion in December when I was stood up twice for pick ups then they showed up without prior arrangements a week later. I was told by the girl on the phone that her office location is St. Albert and it was to serve that area and Morinville? They sell donations to Value Village. I don't even live near those areas or within an hour drive one way! I am blocking them from now on.

My experience is that the callers are volunteers who benefit from the charity... eg. people with cerebral palsy, which is why they may sometimes not sound quite professional. I have been donating a couple of times a year for many years, and they have always picked up when they said they would.

Their organization needs to show the company/charity name on call display and speak clearly please. Very polite caller. Looking for clothes and household goods.

Yeah, despite three occaisions where I made it clear I wasn't interested, calls persisted to this day. Once they call, hang up and dial *60. Once connected, dial #01#. This will add the number to your blocked call list and this particular nuisance will be eliminated. You can only block up to 12 numbers using this method, but I think these guys are worth cutting off. They appear to be collecting for some community fund, but I suspect the community is merely themselves.

They've called five times today and it's only 2:00 pm. Not answering.

They called asking for donations, i think they said aac.org or something. I don't know where they got our number from.

Also got dead air, according to other forums anybody who answers gets dead air. One comment was that it's a telemarketer for a charity but i'm not convinced.

I called that number and left a voicemail to remove me from the call list after receiving 5 unwanted calls from the number. If they call me again I will make a complaint and hopefully get them fined 10K for harassing people. Thanks Chas, hopefully they leave me alone but at least I know who to hold accountable for all the unwanted calls with no message.

THEY NEVER CAME TO PICK UP!!!! It drives me sooo mad when they called me again.

Got another call from this Community Living company. So frustrated that I called the 1-800 number that was referred on this site. I basically tokd them to not call my number again, told them that this conversation of mine was being recorded, and if they call me again, I would report them, somehow, but will find a way. So frustrating. I really would like this stopped. I donate so much to charities, but not this obnoxiuos one for sure not. Will reporting this on this site even help? At least they can be a bit professional
