Call from them today which I didn't pick up. Getting very tired of calls like this as my number is on the national do not call list.

I had a call from this number today, but I didn't pick it up.
On the caller ID it said:

MAIN HD OF
1-(780) 701-3727

This is a company called Allstream Corp. It's a Canada's all-business communications provider.

I used to work for a company that did charitable calling. This number called me today and did the missing kids thing. Ask to be removed from the list. Tell them you know its 3 paragraphs but support another cause and just focus on removal of a phone number. Trust me I used to do this for a living. Not scamming people but actually raising money for charities. This is a different call center and the kid I got was stunned when I gave him the gears as to how it is done and to do what I wanted.

Yes this is Cedar Publishing.  I just got a call from them yesterday.  I was fooled into this scam about 5 years ago thinking it was helping missing kids in BC, when I found out that none of their money goes to any missing kids organizations I stopped advertising with them. Their staff members are well trained in telesales, and they know all the telesales tricks.  It is a clear sign that this is not a legitimate charity.
