Scam artist called at 1:26 PM on January 30, 2017 and claimed he was from Microsoft. I suspected he was a lying fraud, that he was probably phoning from India, and told him so and to not call this number ever again. I promptly terminated the call.

Received a call from this number this morning. Upon answering there was a slight pause, then I heard some background noise and finally a male voice with an Indian accent announced "This is John, from Microsoft". I knew that if it were a legitimate call from MS, the employee would have used their full name and so I ended the call immediately.

Male caller threatened that if I didn't talk with him, my computer would be shut down tomorrow. The number is registered to an Edmonton, Alberta address and is an obvious scam. When are they going to shut down these annoying calls and bring the perpetators to justice!
