Just received call from this number; I answered and man on other end called me by name.  He claimed to be calling on behalf of Windows, and wanted information in regard to my computer.  He claimed there were files of a suspicious nature (viruses) and asked me to log on and provide him information.  When asked again who he was calling on behalf of, stated Windows.  I told him that IF, and that's a very big if, I had problems with my computer, I would seek out my own solutions.  I also told him I had very good security (to which he claimed was not good enough..!!), and would not provide him with any information.  When I asked the Company name he was calling on behalf of, he hung up...

Don't fall for this obvious scam..!!

I am visiting Edmonton from American.  Last night was my first night here, and I got a call in the middle of the night on my American cell phone from (780) 424-5841.  I thought it was very strange that I got a call from an Edmonton number, since nobody from Edmonton knows that I am here except for the friend that I am staying with.  My cell phone is from Verizon Wireless, and my area code is 812, which is Indiana.  I never received any unknown calls from Canada when in the US.  I find it very disturbing after reading these other complaints about this number, since it seems to indicate that the person who originated this call must have had knowledge that this cell phone was in Edmonton.I did not answer the phone since I was sleeping.

I have been getting multiple calls from this number, they claim to be a company called Express Transaction Services. The say I owe them money and I need to pay now or be sent to collections. When I ask them what the charges are for they reply, I should know! They then give me the option to pay half just to close the account, or I will go to collections. I told them I will wait for the collection letter, but they just continue to call and say the same thing.

They phoned my place at 7:24pm, didn't leave a message.

I'm from Alberta and just received a call from (780) 424-5841.  My husband answered the phone as it looked like a local call.  The person on the other end went on and on trying to sell us cell service.  We declined but what raised a red-flag was that we, like so many other people are on the national do not call list.  

From past posts regarding this number, they are trying to "sell" a number of things and thank you to those who have taken the time to share their experiences regarding this number.
