I got a call from this number, didn't recognize it, didn't answer it. 9:42 am this morning... Didn't appear in Canada 411. Closest I have is three numbers all without 780 for the area code.. :(705) 424-5841(204) 424-5841(819) 424-5841

I got a call from (780) 424-5841 at 6:15pm the other evening.  The person on the other end was a male, and it sounded like his voice was computer altered to disguise his identity.  He greeted me by name so he obviously knew who he was trying to call. He claimed he was from an alarm system company, and offered me a free wireless alarm system as an Easter special.  When I said I was not interested, he asked if it was because I already had an alarm system in my home.  I told him again that I was not interested and hung up.  I seemed like he was fishing to figure out if my home was protected, and if not it could become a target for breaking and entering.  I tried calling the number back, but all I got was the message "this number is not in use". After reading the other postings, I am definitely going to report the call to the authorities.

This number, (780) 424-5841, has called me 3 times today. When I finally answered it was BBC or something marketing, looking to do some kind of survey. They knew they were calling a cell phone, asked them how they obtained the number, was told it was on the computer, asked her how the computer gets the number. Said she didn't know but could ask her supervisor. Asked her to please remove my number from her list and she said "Since you said list, we can remove it from the list"Wtf....

I live in alberta. I've been looking for work lately so I thought I might have missed a call for an interview since it was a number I didn't know on my call display. Even though it was missed around 6 pm and they left no message. But when I called it back it said it wasn't in service, so I searched it on google and came across this post, and i'm glad I did. Thanks for the useful info.

I am visiting Edmonton from American.  Last night was my first night here, and I got a call in the middle of the night on my American cell phone from (780) 424-5841.  I thought it was very strange that I got a call from an Edmonton number, since nobody from Edmonton knows that I am here except for the friend that I am staying with.  My cell phone is from Verizon Wireless, and my area code is 812, which is Indiana.  I never received any unknown calls from Canada when in the US.  I find it very disturbing after reading these other complaints about this number, since it seems to indicate that the person who originated this call must have had knowledge that this cell phone was in Edmonton.I did not answer the phone since I was sleeping.

Just received a call from this number and yes no one on the other side....Can we have our service providers block/ filter this number from their system?
