had 3 calls from (780) 424-5841, called telus, it is a telemarketing outcalling number, you cannot call it. the person who calls is from a call centre in india and he has been makin lewd and suggestive remarks from this line.  It is not local but assigned to a telemarketer who is using an international number to use the 424 number.  Telus cannot do anything about the caller, except to suggest you call the canada remove me from telemarketing list and have them remove you.

I live in alberta. I've been looking for work lately so I thought I might have missed a call for an interview since it was a number I didn't know on my call display. Even though it was missed around 6 pm and they left no message. But when I called it back it said it wasn't in service, so I searched it on google and came across this post, and i'm glad I did. I am visiting Edmonton from American.  Last night was my first night here, and I got a call in the middle of the night on my American cell phone from (780) 424-5841.  I thought it was very strange that I got a call from an Edmonton number, since nobody from Edmonton knows that I am here except for the friend that I am staying with.  My cell phone is from Verizon Wireless, and my area code is 812, which is Indiana.  I never received any unknown calls from Canada when in the US.  I find it very disturbing after reading these other complaints about this number, since it seems to indicate that the person who originated this call must have had knowledge that this cell phone was in Edmonton.I did not answer the phone since I was sleeping.

On July 18th, 2010 my call display registered 8 phone calls in 2 hours from this telephone number. I expected that some dire emergency to a family member had happened - what else could warrant this type of urgency to speak to me? When I called the number back I got the recording that the number isn't in use.

This number, (780) 424-5841, has called me 3 times today. When I finally answered it was BBC or something marketing, looking to do some kind of survey. They knew they were calling a cell phone, asked them how they obtained the number, was told it was on the computer, asked her how the computer gets the number. Said she didn't know but could ask her supervisor. Asked her to please remove my number from her list and she said
"Since you said list, we can remove it from the list"
