telemarketers please make them stop

Received a call this morning on my cell from this #.  I missed the call and called back, all it did was beep like it was busy.  Assuming telemarketer or "you've won a free cruise!"

we're in the process of canceling 126 phones through Telus because of these annoying calls and Telus's position that they can't do anything about it. they can through a filtering application.. so much for Telus...

Recieved a call from this # today at 12:24 PM.  It is a survey and message gives you an option to be removed from the list by dialing "9" which I promptly did.

have received 3 calls now from this number..they never leave a message..it is annoying..always early morning..curious to the rprevious comment that if you press 9 to be removed there is a chance they can use your number to use for long distance calling...doesn't anyone know if this is true???

Got a call on my BC cell from this number this morning. No message, of course. Maybe some of you aren't aware that many of these telemarketers use computer dialing, which just dials numbers numerically:  (604) 681-1111, then (604) 681-1112, (604) 681-1113, in the hopes of getting someone on the line. They don't know who they are calling, so it matters not that your number is unlisted. Also, the Do Not Call registry in Canada ONLY applies to Canadian-based companies. Any company outside of Canada is allowed to call us. Non-profits, political parties and companies you already have an account or do business with are also allowed to call you.
