telemarketers please make them stop

Why do people keep calling and not leaving messages????If it's that important, leave message and I assume it's not important.We are on the DO NOT CALL list, yet receive mega calls.I do not answer any numbers I do not know.  Tired of unnecessary calls.

Received a call from this number 19 times in a row. I kept hanging up on the second ring but it kept ringing.  I was in the midst of installing an app on my phone to block this number from calling me but I had such a hard time doing it because of the calls that kept coming.  27 calls later, I eventually got the app installed.  Unfortunately, the app stops my phone from ringing but still tying up my line :(

Got a call from this number this morning.  I did not answer the call and they did not leave a message.  I am so sick and tired of these numbers calling me as my phone number is unlisted.

Got a call on my BC cell from this number this morning. No message, of course. Maybe some of you aren't aware that many of these telemarketers use computer dialing, which just dials numbers numerically:  (604) 681-1111, then (604) 681-1112, (604) 681-1113, in the hopes of getting someone on the line. They don't know who they are calling, so it matters not that your number is unlisted. Also, the Do Not Call registry in Canada ONLY applies to Canadian-based companies. Any company outside of Canada is allowed to call us. Non-profits, political parties and companies you already have an account or do business with are also allowed to call you.

I got a call from (778) 654-3235. Others victims state it is from British Columbia, Canada, although I have a Cell Phone in Edmonton, with the Area code 778 with WIND MOBILE, so it would likely be an Edmonton, Alberta area code -- (you can purchase a phone, and "take It-With-You", anywhere you want, so that the spammer could have purchased an UNLIMITED phone from WIND, and "moved it" to B.C. to carry on unlimited fraud, in another province, with no way to trace the origin.) This call was to my ROGERS CELL phone in Ontario, and has been repeated over the last week... ROGERS WIRELESS has been delivering illegal, fraudulent, malicious, fake, calls from Colorado, Nevada, Washington etc. in the United States, and now from Alberta / British Columbia, in Canada. These malicious calls are being delivered to my Pay-As-You-Go Cell Phones, which, for each incoming or outgoing call, I PAY ( and pay and pay). ROGERS WIRELESS, here in Canada, charges for WHOLE MINUTES, so  ("You have won a free vacation", "As a valued ROGERS CUSTOMER, you have been chosen", "This is a 5 minute survey, to remove yourself from the survey, Press #09... ") etc. (( note that #09 or #90 are PBX switch codes to allow the illegal caller to use YOUR number to make free long distance calls))...  a 5 second hang up ... costs me ONE FULL MINUTE, Prime time, often INTERNATIONAL ! There is NO incentive for Rogers to shut down the illegal spammers - Rogers, with the Sales, Marketing, and Advertising departments cheering, makes MONEY... lots of money.... And, like the daily barrage of illegal, malicious, fraudulent spam in your Internet " IN-BOX" , the spammers make money as well. With millions of hits a day, all they need are 0.5% of people to fall for each SCAM, to make 10's of thousands a day $ $ $ ! !  It used to be -- in the 1950's, 1960's, 1970's, that if the phone rang, - you ANSWERED IT !, now, as more and more people report, they automatically DO NOT ANSWER any calls, unless there is a Call Display showing a person they know. We now live in terror, reminded daily, by corporations like ROGERS, that large Corporations stoop to ANY tactics for MONEY ! ROGERS Wireless, that brags in commercials that it can bring you LIVE, ONLINE video of your home (security), TV, Videos, Youtube, chats, maps, GPS, etc. states, when I ask, that "CALL_DISPLAY" of the printed NAME of the caller is " NOT POSSIBLE ".... er, um, really? - "NOT POSSIBLE?"  Gee, maybe in amongst the VIDEOS, TV, Home surveillance VIDEOS, Youtube, online INTERNET PAGES, complete with ANIMATIONS AND PHOTOGRAPHS, etc. , some technical wizard at ROGERS could figure how to get a simple printed NAME to show up - wow, -- we have a man on the moon, pictures from Mars, but it is " NOT POSSIBLE" to get a simple " NAME" on a cell phone.... golly.... After the fake "911" terror, and the subsequent recall of ALL Rights, Freedoms, and Liberties in both Canada, and the United States, we are now terrorized daily, with a reminder of Corporate greed and two-faced technical wizardry - amazing "can -do" v.s. pathetic, simple, "NOT POSSIBLE!" ( It seems that if it makes money "to-do" something , it IS possible, yet, if it makes money-- "not-to-do" something,, then it is suddenly, "NOT_POSSIBLE" to do (( with associated profits increasing)) -- . . .seems to be a theme here....)  There is fodder for a long, long, customer review of Cell Phones, Cell phone "PROVIDERS", and malicious use of technology-for-profit, and I hope this teeny comment spurs some technical writer into action....   This "RANT" is brought to you by your friendly, fellow citizen, in Canada, ( Woe, Canada!, the False North, Weak, and Under Bondage  -- (( A re-do of the Anthem from the 1950's that said "Oh Canada! - The TRUE North, Strong and Free")), ),who is terrorized daily, as every conceivable ploy is perpetrated to curtail any semblance of Democracy and Freedom, and replace it with fear, terror, control, and Corporate supremacy, guided by a happy government of wealthy elite. yours truly robindustygraves
