Got a missed call and odd VM from this number today. Tried calling it back but doesn't connect.

I got a call from this number as well.  I called back and it was a credit company ..."you're eligiable for this rate ... etc."   what a pain.

Just now on my cell, hung up as fast as I could. Area code was same as my cell in NW BC

they sounds like drunks...they eat their words..if you want to clarify something from them they will say they will call u back.they will ask information from you and ask your credit card.
