Just had (778) 370-8989 call me and like everyone else inform me that as a valued member of costco I won a prize. Press 1 to find out more. I waited on the line for a few seconds and the line disconnected.

Called back to ask to be removed, got the message the number is not in service.

not cool, I'm surprised with new phone laws in Canada that there is NO WAY for a Canadian citizen to determine who is making the automated calls.

yup i just got the call too. I had missed it and wondering who it was. So i guess he never got shut down

What in the world. I got a rogers cell phone & got that call too! Missed the phone call, didn't know who it was so I didn't call back either.

call recieved 5:39pm Kelowna, BCnot answered- returned number not in service googled it and found this site.isn't technology amazing ?  We can make it much harder for scammers !

I received a call from them about half an hr ago but missed their call.  From this post it looks like whoever owns this number started prank-calling/spamming people today.  I hope he will burn in hell for this.
