they have called twice in the last week or so and my answering machine has picked up and it's just playing music and then cuts offargh!

I get music on my answering machine too.  First time was something like Islamic music and the second time was Techno music after someone says Hello.  It was 2 different person talking.  If they are in need of a friend they can call somewhere else!

Dec /09. Called my cell # that almost no one has, at about 7:45pm. Answered and no one there/hung up.

ps-- 778 #s are usually based in Vancouver, BC (but some are on Vanc Island)

so is it a collection agency or some stupid telemarketing company. i live all the way out in toronto with a 905 area code and these guys r calling my house phone (778) 329-4595

Left "an important" message for some unknown person regarding a gym membership.  Claims to be "Steve Nash Fitness World" head office.  If other submissions are accurate this number employs dishonest personnel.  If really calling from Steve Nash fitness world then number employs incompetents.
