I answered and no one replied. Spam

It's a Vancouver based collection agency called CBV, actually. 814 Richards St, Suite #100, Vancouver, BC V6B 3A7. If they are calling before 7am or after 10pm, or using abusive or threatening tactics, or contacting friends and family you can lodge complaints under the Consumer Protection Act.

Oh another thing is that the first caller actually tried to call me like 4 times, before they used a tactic to the effect of "if this is the wrong number, please please call me back to let me know..." LOL

I never got a call from that caller again, I now have a 2nd person trying to call (south asian lady...). She's really persistent too.. using the same script of needing to sign some urgent documents. I'm having fun just answering and just leaving the phone on the sofa for a few minutes. I think next time, I will actually say "hello.." then put them on hold - over and over and over again!

These people call my cell every other day. I just pick up the call but dont say anything... LOL.. If they do leave a message, they ask for some made up name, and say that there is an urgent document blah blah blah....

they have called twice in the last week or so and my answering machine has picked up and it's just playing music and then cuts off

argh!

Dec /09. Called my cell # that almost no one has, at about 7:45pm. Answered and no one there/hung up.

ps-- 778 #s are usually based in Vancouver, BC (but some are on Vanc Island)
