Someone in your family may have a parking ticket not paid or cell bill (my son who has long since moved out). I was getting calls every 15 minutes from this number. THIS IS CLEARLY HARASSMENT. Doing anything like press "1"  as the system asks "If you're this person", the phone just goes dead.  It hangs up if it gets your answering machine.
But for now, hit CBV website http://www.cbvcollections.com/ and find their local office number.  Phone it and ask for the Privacy Officer.  In Vancouver contact Erin Coe on her direct line (604) 661-7902. I said I run a private business from my home and that any such calls are disruptive to my business, and are being logged and a bill will be sent to them at $1000 per hour for business disruption.  The calls stopped right away.  As of Sept 30, such calls are subject to a $15,000 fine.  On Sept 30 2008 be sure to register with Canada Do Not Call list 1-+1 866-580-3625 or website www.LNNTE-DNCL.gc.ca

this # keeps calling me too, over a week ago I called back to cbv & advised the receptionist, who passed me to an operations mgr,who assured me they have no intent on harassing citizens, however at that point the original clerk had removed my #,apparently, but I'm here to say that I have had numerous calls again from this number even after they told me it wouldn't happen again. It tells me "THIS IS A VERY IMPORTANT BUSINESS ANNOUNCEMENT",OVER and over then to wait on line to speak to an operator, then cuts me off. I'll call them back again but will also go to the new do not call site to register there, hope it helps as it was already determined the call was not regarding me, so for the comment above(pay your bills)I notice you're to cowardly to give your name.

Rusty...Thank you!! I went to the Site, got the # for Home office, lefte a message, then called Erin's # & left a message requesting to get me the heck off the list, (We'll see) Regardless....THANKS for the info :)

They called at 8:15 AM!Didnt pick it up. I use Shaw so I blocked their number.

it really is a miss understanding if your being called, unless you owe someone money :P , just call erin, i found her very polite and i hope by 224 hours, i'll never see the number again
