Good to have seen these comments. I just moved to BC and got a new number. As soon as I got it this number keeps phoning me 5 times a day or more if they can. I can't believe it. I'm very frustrated but now I'll try to do the suggestions you all made and stop them from harassing the wrong person.

They just called saying "You are being contacted on an urgent business matter, please stay on the line". It said it 3 times then hung up.

Calling no answer

(778) 329-0347 keeps calling my cell, usually early afternoon.
I pick up and it is dead.
I call the number and there is no answer.
Anyone know who owns this number so I can opt off their list??

This is a collection agency in Vancouver.  To stop these calls simply do the following:  Call the Privacy Officer of CBV Collections.  In Vancouver contact Erin Coe on her direct line (604) 661-7902. Tell her you want your number removed from their system.  She will ask you for the number being called.  Then she'll ask you if you are such and such and whether you live on a certain street.  In my case both were for a company I've never heard of.She'll then tell you it takes 24 hours for their system to get updated and the calls stop.  Hope this helps you out!
