Someone in your family may have a parking ticket not paid or cell bill (my son who has long since moved out). I was getting calls every 15 minutes from this number. THIS IS CLEARLY HARASSMENT. Doing anything like press "1"  as the system asks "If you're this person", the phone just goes dead.  It hangs up if it gets your answering machine.
But for now, hit CBV website http://www.cbvcollections.com/ and find their local office number.  Phone it and ask for the Privacy Officer.  In Vancouver contact Erin Coe on her direct line (604) 661-7902. I said I run a private business from my home and that any such calls are disruptive to my business, and are being logged and a bill will be sent to them at $1000 per hour for business disruption.  The calls stopped right away.  As of Sept 30, such calls are subject to a $15,000 fine.  On Sept 30 2008 be sure to register with Canada Do Not Call list 1-+1 866-580-3625 or website www.LNNTE-DNCL.gc.ca

These turd brains make it impossible to get a hold of them. I get the (778) 329-0347 calls multiple times a day. Mine is a business line that I call forward to my cellphone. I also have my 800 number come to the same line. So I don't know which of my 3 numbers they are calling, but most likely my new number. There is never anyone there when I answer the calls. Always silence. I have tried calling them back but get led through a massive wild goose chase down an automated menu system. I have very recently acquired my 2 new business numbers so I know they are after the previous owner of the number. I have not been in business long enough to get a bill, much less become delinquent!I'm glad I found this site. There is some very useful info here, especially from Rusty and his "Erin Coe on her direct line (604) 661-7902" I called but there was only an answering machine. But today is Saturday, so I will try again Monday.We shouldn't have to put up with harassment from idiots like this. What ever happened to people personally making a phone call so you can tell the caller what the situation is instead of making it very difficult to reach anyone in person? I hope CBV Collections burns to the ground. We should all forward CBV Collections name and address to the druggies, telling them that they have millions of dollars of dope stashed in the office. That would make it interesting! Put the morons out of business.

This is CBV for sure! No doubt. The law regarding collections states clearly these aholes collectors have no legal right to harass in such a manner. I had calls once 16 times in 2 days from both #'s listed on here and refuse to even  answer as I know what they are and what they want. I am not even the person they are looking for and I told them this 3 x. Everytime they get a newbie on the phones they put them to work to show their quota to their d***head boss showing them that they actually make calls to harass people. Some system when they say they remove you and they dont. I just ignore these dorks  now. Let them waste all that time chasing the wrong guy! lol.( I wonder what they actullay tell people they do for a living by the way) What a bunch of jokers! I just cant believe people do this crap for a living. I realize people have to do it but a more civil method must be available then this bs.

just got a call on my cell that is a private number.. strange"This is a call regarding an urgent business matter, please stay on the line.."Said something along the lines of that 3 times and then beeped twice, I think that is a busy signal..
