Someone in your family may have a parking ticket not paid or cell bill (my son who has long since moved out). I was getting calls every 15 minutes from this number. THIS IS CLEARLY HARASSMENT. Doing anything like press "1"  as the system asks "If you're this person", the phone just goes dead.  It hangs up if it gets your answering machine.But for now, hit CBV website http://www.cbvcollections.com/ and find their local office number.  Phone it and ask for the Privacy Officer.  In Vancouver contact Erin Coe on her direct line (604) 661-7902. I said I run a private business from my home and that any such calls are disruptive to my business, and are being logged and a bill will be sent to them at $1000 per hour for business disruption.  The calls stopped right away.  As of Sept 30, such calls are subject to a $15,000 fine.  On Sept 30 2008 be sure to register with Canada Do Not Call list 1-+1 866-580-3625 or website www.LNNTE-DNCL.gc.ca

I didn't answer the call - I assumed it was some sort of scam phone call.
I never answer callers whose numbers I don't know- I check the web first...

Got a call from the (778) 329-0347 number and they were looking for some other person.  After I told the lady on the phone that nobody by that name lives at this address, nor have they in the last 10 years since I've been at this address, she typed something into her computer, and then she asked if this was the (Insert my last name) Residence to which it was, but I responded "No" and then told her I was busy and hung up!  - How the hell did they know my last name - when I wasn't the one they were calling bout!!!!

Calls from (604) 687-4559 result in a hangup when asked callers identity. Calls are as a result of a utility refund which was decided to be a mistake 3.5 mos after refund was issued. I wonder how many of these "mistakes" occur, and at whos expense?
