Defiantly scammers trying to get my information. Said my visa was suspected of being used and that I should hold to give my information. I don't even have a visa!

This is a fraudulent computer scam company in Delhi India trying to drum up $$$. Yours. The accent is East Indian. They call over and over to harass you.

Today I received a call from (778) 323-0323. It appears some service providers are using a local (BC) number to channel long distance call. This particular call was from a relative in UK and I spoke to him, but the display was this local number

Called 9:30pm saying it was "Lisa from Windows"... I could tell immediately it was coming from a call centre and said "Sorry, I can't hear you". She tried with all her might to keep me on the line, saying she could call back, but I was having none of it, telling her it was a terrible connection. Then I hung up. If they call again I will not be so kind...

It identified itself as IPFax on my phone and 778 is local to me (lower mainland) so I'm thinking it's someone trying to fax blast over the internet.I've got them on the line... over 30 minutes now. I've got call waiting so when a real call comes in I just put them on hold and then come back to them. it's sort of a dial tone followed by a quick pause of a silence every two or three seconds then a tone againI figure I'm tying up one of their outgoing lines, maybe if they see that calling my number will cost them the use of their outgoing line for an hour or two they'll put me on their kill list as a waste of resources.

me too....unknown call first, then (778) 329-0323. THis after reading ond postin for (778) 329-0324. Just got off the phone with Project Phone Busters. They think there is something up with this also and are looking into it. Call them @ 1-+1 888-495-8501 or visit their site @ www.phonebusters.com

I also called Bell, and there is nothing they can do. (note if you reverse cell phone lookup, it states it is a "LAND LINE".

Be CAREFULL!!! I did not answer the (778) 329-0323 as I already new about that number just a couple hours earlier.

Answered a call from this number, he said he was calling from some organization (forget the name).  Said I'd like to be removed from the call-list.  Then the dude started getting angry at me for not knowing what I was asking to be removed from, so I hung up.

This number called me asking if I was the owner of the number. When I asked who was calling they said it was my IT department for my computer. Lots of background noise with other telemarketers. I know this scam. They tell you that there is a virus and they will clean it. Last time they called I played along and asked them what PC I had and what operating system. By the way, I don't HAVE and IT department!I hung up on this guy and have blocked the number.
