didn't answer--anytime the id shows as 'unavailable' they can go whistle dixie.

March 23, 2011  Just received a call from this number and I did not answer.  They left no message.  These people have been up to no good for a long time - wish I knew how to stop them.

This number called saying the were the rate dept. for credit cards that the rate s were going up but I could stop by talking to them. I asked what credit card company it was? The lady said who I'm I talking to. I said you tell me. She said I'm not a mind reader. I said you called me you should have that information. She said this is a call center. I said this is a scam and I'm reporting you. I then hung up.

They claim that they are from credit card services and say that I may receive or may have received a letter saying that my charges have gone up or may go up and that they may be able to restore my previous rates or prevent an increase, and that I should press 9 to contact their office.

They are BS no doubt. If the 778 area code is even close to right, which it prolly is, they are calling from Canada which is why the do not call list is useless. Companies in the US will use out of the country call 3rd party call centers to get around the do not call list all of the time so don't let it get to you.

Just keep a record of the companies using these lowlife call centers and share it with everyone else so we know who NOT to do business with. They do this stuff cause we let them, so don't!
