Some one called and said they were looking for some old friends that live on my street that they lost contact with.  I asked how he got my number and said he found it on the web.  What a liar!!  I am registered with the do not call list.  This person did not even give his name.

We were told our name was given as a reference for a car loan from a friend.  The call is coming from General Motors Acceptance Corporation.  It's Questionable.... We don't know of anyone that has bought a car from GMAC.  They are calling trying to trace down where the auto is so they can repro it.

I got a call on my cell phone from this number.  They said it was for AmeriCredit, asking for a reference for a car loan for someone I don't even know.  They didn't ask for any personal information, but they also couldn't tell me how they got my name or number.

Weird, I got a random call from them as well, no clue but it said from PeterBorough, ONTARIO Canada HOWEVER in our area, we have heard there has been a call scam to get $10 from people so BE careful
