I received a call from them pretending to be BELL CANADA and offering free receivers without any catch or commitment. I was surprised but the CSR convinced me there is no catch and I agreed. Then came the spooky part. She first wanted a piece of ID ror the Purolator guy for ID. I gave her my Drivers licence number. Then she wanted me to provide he my bank account details or credit card number. At that time I realised I may have been a victim of identity theft.

PLEASE STAY AWAY if anyone calls from this number.

I have had this number call my cell everyday, at different times and leave no msg!!! Coming from Sudbury but it is an unlisted number.

I found the ad for this number belonging to Tip Communications through a Facebook link. They are a third party promotion company whom Bell have confirmed as legitimate. I've ordered the free PVR and Installation. I got a call from Bell arranging an installation date. Now the waiting game begins. One odd thing, TIP's asks for $20.00 to be sent to them after the installation is done and all is up and running. It's to help offset the postage for shipping the PVR from ON to BC. We'll see.

I received this phone call as well from Bell Canada promising free receivers, they asked me for my licence number and I gave it to them. I was alittle weary at first however about a week or more later I actually received the receivers, they were in fact deleivered by courier as they people on the phone told me.....So I guess this was correct on my part, for now anyways....not sure why they asked for my licence number though. They had said that the courier would ask for it for verification but they did not do this, I just had to sign for packages....???
