I never answer my cell phone if I don't recognize the number calling, but I was expecting a call, so just automatically answered. A recorded voice screeched, "Because you are a valued customer, you have won ..." at which point I cursed like a sailor and hung up.

How many sales do you suppose these morons get via these spam calls? Damn!!

yup - tying up my cell phone - good to know it is a nobody

I was Cautious because of the unknown area code so I didn't answer it and now after google that phone number,  I'm happy to see it was a telemarketer.
