OK....I got a call from this number today.  The routine was to tell me that I would receive 6.5% interest on both my VISA AND MC for the rest off my life.  I asked how they were affiliated with the credit card companies and I got an evasive answer.  The heavy accented man proceeded to tell me that I would receive this great rate and asked what my interest rate is that I am know paying on my credit cards.  He asks if it is more than 12%.  I tell him if he knew I had credit cards and they are affiliated with these financial institutions that he would already know that.  He then said that I had $3000.00 in credit card debt.  Oh really!!!  I then told him that I owe nothing to anybody.  I have no debt whatsoever and that he should know that if this is a legitimate company.  I asked where he obtained this information and het changed the subject by asking if I was at a specific address.  I told him that I don't live at that address and asked what Province he thought I lived in.  He did identify the correct Province, however he said he must have the wrong person.  I said "you certainly must" but how did you get my name at all.  There is only one person in this Province with that name and that person is me.  He told me he could only verify the amount of money I owe after I verified my personal information.  I immediately asked him to remove me from their list and to remove my phone number as well.  He began to apologize.  He said it had to be another person with the same name.  He was very upset but not half as upset as I was.  This was a scam to get information.  WATCH OUT FOR THIS

I got a call on my cell from this number. I did not answer and no message was left. This happened several times. Just annoying, as I would have to pull over to answer it, always thinking I missed important call.

The call from this number appeared to be a scam.  The person asked for me by my last name and said they were calling about my visa or mastercard account and asked if I understood.  When I asked which one they said both.  When I asked them to take my name off their calling list they were caught off guard.  When I asked again they hung up.

This is the 10th time that this number has called, no sound on the end  and after 2 nice "yes, may I help you"'s I then proceeded to say "take me off your list" but only was able to get out the "take", before they hung up.Now, under the same number once, on July 22nd 2010 someone said "this is in regards to your visa and mastercard and they are both in excellent standing and we want to offer you this great deal in lowering your interest rate" I proceeded to say, "really, that's very interesting, because I don't have either one" and they hung up on me.But the silent one came again today. The problem now is if you join a do not call list, you get 10 more different numbers to replace that one.

Who calls from this number? They are a nuisance and should be shot be shot on sight. Why do we have to put up with this nonsense.
