they are text messaging my cell phone with ads for "shoutit.com"
so invasive.
is there anything i can do about this, like blocking them, or anywhere i can report this? if i could set my phone to block the messages before they come in then that would be great. it would be nice not to have to pay for text messages which come to my phone and are essentially spam.

Good on ya, Fred.

This number keeps coming up on my cell. I was ignoring it but today I answered by mistake! Ryan from Global Asset Services offered consolidation of credit card debt. ( I don't have any!) I asked where they obtained my number, he told me my number would have been provided by a bank or financial institution. I have NEVER authorized any bank or financial institution to use my number, and as this is my cell phone which is expensive, I have offered to send Global Asset Services my bill for me answering their unsolicited call. Ryan promised to remove my number. I then called the company at 1-+1 888-290-8281 and they have agreed to remove my number, they say it takes 5 to 7 business days. I have reported this to the CRTC as I am on the do not call list.

I got a call from these guys, and did a little hunting. Seems the network this call originated with is called Iristel. I emailed Iristel, they won't do anything without a CRTC complaint.
They then ended their email with an advertisement for their services.
I replied to them that I would share the information here, Anyone that wants to contact Iristel and protest - feel free.
I have removed my personal info (name & email) from this email, the last thing I need is more spam calls.

Gentlemen: I'm getting spam scammer phone calls from a number in your domain. I'm also reading about thousands of complaint about these calls. The calls also involve credit card fraud.
the phone number is 647-931-7539
I wish for these calls to stop, and will be filing complaints with the folk that regulate the do not call list.
Do you really need to make your income with scammers who have no respect for the laws of the land and lie, cheat, and steal without conscience.?

Received a call on our landline at 1:25pm today. We were not home to receive the call, and they did not leave a message. When I called the number, there was a message asking me if I wanted to lower my interest rates...
