they called but didn't leave a messdage or talk when i answered

This number called my unlisted number so they are probably dialing sequentially which is illegal.  When I picked it up, there was a recording offering me a loan or credit card and then it said to press 2 if I don't want any more calls from them so I did but I don't know if it will work.   I haven't requested a loan or credit card from anyone.  I called them back and got a message saying that the Magic Jack customer was unavailable and to leave a message but then it said the mailbox was full.  I didn't know what magic Jack was, so I googled it.  It's a device that can be plugged into a computer and you can plug a phone into it in order to use VOIP.  This company must be a rinky-dink, fly-by-night firm.  They are probably scammers.

If you receive a call, just lift the receiver, do not say a word and then close. It is an automated message which is activated by voice!

This number keeps coming up on my cell. I was ignoring it but today I answered by mistake! Ryan from Global Asset Services offered consolidation of credit card debt. ( I don't have any!) I asked where they obtained my number, he told me my number would have been provided by a bank or financial institution. I have NEVER authorized any bank or financial institution to use my number, and as this is my cell phone which is expensive, I have offered to send Global Asset Services my bill for me answering their unsolicited call. Ryan promised to remove my number. I then called the company at 1-+1 888-290-8281 and they have agreed to remove my number, they say it takes 5 to 7 business days. I have reported this to the CRTC as I am on the do not call list.

They called at 2:31 pm today, and there was a woman's voice (recorded message) saying something about credit cards and interest rates.Sounds like a scam.

Received a call from (647) 931-7539 at 4:17 pm Aug 3/11 and stopped after 2 rings.  Called number back and got message that could not complete the call as dialed.  Checked area code for 647 and appears to be in the Toronto area.
