they called but didn't leave a messdage or talk when i answered

Found this number on my phone list, but since I don't have an answering machine, and I don't pick up if I don't recognize the number, then they will only call once or twice - then give up. Considering I also have an unlisted number, I have to wonder how they got mine.

This company called me about my credit cards.  I thought it was sketchy, so I was nervous about providing any information, but they were able to provide me with a financial advisory service that helped me to combine my 7 cards into one low rate card.  My monthly payments are significantly reduced and more of my payments are going to principal.  I would recommend this to anyone with a high amount of credit card debt.

If you receive a call, just lift the receiver, do not say a word and then close. It is an automated message which is activated by voice!

Caller informed that they offer low rate of interest on visa & master cards. Wanted to know credit card details. When asked the caller to tell more about their company, the call was disconnected. It is evident that the intention is to steal credit card information first and later the money. When I called back, the message was that this is a Jack phone and cannot accept messages. Never ever reveal your credit card info to any unknown person.

They keep calling our fax machine, how stupid can they be?  They shave to be using an autodialer.
