Number appears on Fido call display as +64 7 925 9988 and not as (647) 925-9988, like a Toronto number would.
As other ppl are suggesting, this isn't a Toronto number so I believe YAK is telling the truth. Could be from New Zeland, but my hunch is that they are using some caller id masking, to fool ppl into thinking it's from Toronto. Could be some type of fraudulent collect call, i.e. they get you to press 1 (thus accepting the collect call) then try to keep you on the line for as long as possible as you'll be charged $$$/min - which you won't know until your next phonebill arrives. I remember reading about some scams like that, though those calls were from some 1-8xx or 1-9xx number. Now, if they were able to mask a number like that to look like a T.o. number, I am sure a good number of torontonians will be surprised by their next phonebill. Hope I'm wrong.

Just got this call... automated voice, so I waited to respond while I checked it out, they hung up after 10 seconds as I was typing the number into google.
