got same text today also

I just got the same text. A word of advise to everyone, since the first time i have gotten bogus phone calls or texts saying i won something, or that i need to reply back to such number, i have just been going to google and typing in the number in the search bar to see if anything comes up like this. Most likely texts like this one with an area code unknown or not familiar to yourself is going to be a scam. It is now a ritual to do these searches just because i want to see how many other people are getting the same thing. Please let everyone you know to search an unfamiliar number before you continue to give a stranger information about yourself and get scammed. Thank-you.

I received a text from this number advising me that I've won an iPAD 2 and $1000.00 and directing me to claim at gosyfony.com.  I'm already suspicious and know this is a scam of some sort so instead I did a google search and reverse number lookup and what a surprise!! another low-life SOB trying scam people.  I only wonder how they got ahold of my cellphone number!
