Has anyone tryed to cash the check?

i was sent a letter that stated i had won $750,000.00 in an Australian Lottery. They also sent a me a check for $4,950.00 issued from Jaxmetro credit Union. I was instructed not to cash this check until i spoke with a Mr.Lennox Cox at the above mentioned number and that i was required to send them a check for $2,980.00 to "pay a one time tax fee".
I have not called this individual, nor do i intend to, although there is indeed a jaxmetro credit union listed at the address indicated on the check and the check appears to be legitimate. Interesting!
