This number keeps calling and not leaving a voicemail. Called back and seems like some kind of scam

Never stops calling. Have answered once and told them not to call again but they still do.

Call claiming to be associated with TD Canada Trust. Called back and is not a proper number.

I got a call from this number. Didn't answer and have no idea who it was. Some people say it's about TD Canada credit card. That's possible because I have their credit card.

(416) 848-8883 and (647) 496-4196 are operated by the same people. Always call and hang up one after another, never leave a message. Not a legitimate caller.

So I received a call from (647) 496-4196) what seems to be TD's credit card identity theft protection plan. I told the person on the other end I don't do business on the phone and he suggested too go to a physical TD bank branch and ask for the credit card phone number or check the back of the card and the same phone number will be there. Which would lead back to "him" (the TD sales person) Could also hear other telemarketers in the background trying to sell the idea.So yes it is a sales pitch from TD, to stop them from calling ANSWER the phone and TELL them you're NOT INTERESTED and don't want to be called again. Be firm but polite and they should respect that. Worked for me, well until next year when they refresh the numbers for sales pitch. :)

Just called me at 9:00 p.m. saying she was with TD Visa and wanted to protect my credit. I said it's fine and hung up. Whether these types of calls (bank, credit cards, credit protection and the like), are legitimate or not, you should NEVER offer personal info nor give any if asked. NEVER. If you want credit protection, credit reports or anything of the like, contact Visa (or whomever you want the service from), yourself so you know you're talking to them and not a possible scammer.
