My home phone number has been listed on the Canadian "DO NOT CALL LIST" since it was created. However I repeatedly get calls form the same call centre regarding "my credit card interest rate".
The recorded message that plays says to Press "1" to speak to a personal representative, or Press "2" to have the calls discontinued.
PRESSING "2" DOES NOT WORK AS THE RESPONSE TO THAT IS "THIS IS NOT A VALID RESPONSE" !!!
WHEN I PRESSED 1 A MAN WITH AN ACCENT HUNG UP ON ME WHEN ASKED TO BE REMOVED FROM THEIR CALL LIST. THE NEXT CALL WAS THE SAME, EXCEPT THE CALL CENTER WORKER TOLD ME TO "f*ck OFF" BEFORE HE HUNG UP.
I understand that Rogers Communications owns CALL-NET COMMUNICATIONS who manage the call center. I now plan to contact Rogers directly and then via my attorney.
