Yet another phonecall at dinner time.  Went to voicemail - no message.  What a bunch of a**holes.

Phoned Sat Aug 14, 2010 at 12:48pm Atlantic Canada Time.  Automated telemarketer for vacation getaway. Didn't answer, went to voice mail.

Yep.  Called the 250-658 too.

Voicemail and answering machines are all too much spam.  We killed them all here, and use Caller ID for about 90% of the value of voicemail (think about it -- unless they say more than "it's Mike;  call me" then anything but C-I-D is a waste) .  I think the only way I'd consider getting voicemail again is if I could hook a secretariat app into asterisk (the computer answering system)  and require a bypass code to get to the message part.  Dump the bastard calls otherwise.
