Reliance Protectron Security Services maintains strict consumer rights policies which govern the activity of our internal call centres as well as those of our dealers.

Our policies include, but are not limited to: respecting the Do Not Call List, and maintaining a professional demeanor when speaking with consumers. For this reason, we are confident that the calls you received originate from another company acting against us.

Unfortunately this is not the first time we have received complaints of this nature. We have been actively seeking to locate the source of these fraudulent calls, and have reached out to the RCMP to help us in our investigation.

Please continue to let us know when and from which number you have received such calls, as each occurrence we are made aware of helps provide a clearer picture of who is responsible and brings us closer to our goal of putting an immediate end to this offensive business practice. This person called & asked to speak to the homeowner, there are too many calls like this coming through. I'm on the "do not call list" so what good is this.

I heard from this number at 5:30 pm today. I asked "Who's calling", and they asked for the homeowner. I asked again, and he said Maxwell.' He then said  something about home security, so I interrupted him and asked if he could put us on their No-Call list. He replied: "No."Silence.So I asked for his phone number. He said, "No."  Long pause.So I asked to speak to his supervisor. After a few more seconds of silence, he hung up.The telemarketing industry should get after these people and shut them down. Otherwise they will all be chased out of town.

The number is used by various companies - mainly security (Reliant & ADT for sure). I actually booked an appointment to waste their time - we are on the National DNCL (not that it means a thing to these guys). Mike H - Manager from Canada National Security Inc at 2835 Danforth Avenue Toronto M4C 1M2 Tel: (416) 751-1500 Cell: (416) 832-9487 Fax: (416) 751-5900 Toll Free: 1-+1 866-751-1595 email: cnsci @ bellnet.ca www.canadanationalsecurity.com Showed at my door driving a black BMW license plate CNSI and said "So I hear you have a security need" to which I responded "No, I have a need for you to stop ignoring the DNCL so with that in mind, I will be reporting you to the CRTC and to ADT head office. He did not seemed surprised, nor did he seem to care. ADT didn't seem to care much either, but did say that they would investigate. I told them that they should care since a dealer was identifying themselves as ADT and hurting their brand. At no point in the call do they say that they are anyone other than ADT.
