Just got a call from (647) 288-1289 saying they were calling from Mastercard to lower my interestrate. I asked who they were looking for and they gave me Mr or Mrs Jenkins. I said this is the wrong number and nobody by this name lives here. They said who am I speaking to? I told them you have the wrong number and dont call here again.

got this call today.  i hung up as soon as they asked if it was true that i pay my balance on time.  creepy.

cancel the card if you have not already. Bank will give you a new one and never give info to anyone on the phone because banks will never ask for this info. If it sounds too good it is so don't be fooled.

This person either just landed on planet earth, or..! But my hunch tells me it's possibly an employee. You can report them by calling phone busters 1-+1 888-495-8501, www.phonebusters.com ? So far, many, many complaints have been filed. They're getting desperate it seems. What a bunch of crooks, esp. during the holiday season!

I am located in Calgary and I received a call on Feb. 5, 2011 from (647) 288-1289. The male caller didnot introduce himself to me, i.e. his name or which company he was working for. I asked him multiple times to tell me who he was and where he was calling from. He was calling to request that I "confirm" my credit card information with him.
