I also got a strange call but did not answer it.  The number was (647) 288-1289.

they just called me again, the man introduced himself as and wants to talk about some credits, cards etc. he said is a member of a company "...negotiations" (I didn't catch first word and he can help me with my credit/interest...he asked me how much I payed in what card?i told him not to call again....is the second time in a month they call.Is a way to repot him/them somewhere?I see down the page that is a nr. from N. Zealand.maybe they do not have this policy "do not call if I didn't asked you too"P.

My mom got called this morning. Credit Card Companies don't call you to lower your interest rate, thank you Opera and any other talk show that talked about finances. My mom had her credit card to look for the customer service number and it was incorrect so my mom said she doesn't want to do this over the phone and her credit unions will do it for her when she's in person.
What buggers using that number in Ontario. Hence why I never pick up numbers out of province.

Recieved this call about 1pm and it was just dead air.

Just received call fromthis number with the name ONTARIO on the caller ID..this person said his name was Raymond..and knew how many credit cards I had..said I had been selected because I had paid my credit cards on time for many months and that he could set up a life time low interest rate, because due to recession, lots of people not using credit cards and crdeit card companies loosing tons of money..wanted to know if my combined balances were over $2500..and said he could set up a three way conference call with the lending institution..sia he represented TD, BMO, CIBC and a host of others....I asked for his number..told him I'd have to review this with someone in my family who would know whether I needed it..and if I did they would call him back.He said his number was 1-+1 877-741-2006 ext 923 something like interest reduction department.

got this call today.  i hung up as soon as they asked if it was true that i pay my balance on time.  creepy.
