My mom got called this morning. Credit Card Companies don't call you to lower your interest rate, thank you Opera and any other talk show that talked about finances. My mom had her credit card to look for the customer service number and it was incorrect so my mom said she doesn't want to do this over the phone and her credit unions will do it for her when she's in person.
What buggers using that number in Ontario. Hence why I never pick up numbers out of province.

I received a call from these guys as well they called me from (647) 288-1289 but when i answered he just hung up and then  researched the number and it said it came from old city hall in toronto ontario canadaso i called the city and they said that they do not have that number no where in the building so i googled again and gave me the location and i pulled up city hall again i found this very strange wow i hope they get caught

We get called several times a day, and have for years. They want to get your credit card or personal data for some scam product or service. If you answer tell them nothing and hang up. Asking to be taken off their list, or threats go nowhere.

Don't waste your time getting frustrated.

They use spoofing software to fake any phone exchange in the world. They use a dialer to call hundreds of numbers at the same time.

These are the morons that should be prosecuted. They say it's great for professional people to protect their identity - but we all know the scum that use these services/software.

These jerks could be anywhere - likely some 3rd world country where no law can reach them. Don't answer and NEVER expect them to stop.

This number called me and when I didn't pick up, left a mumbled and brief message. NEVER CALL AGAIN!
I am also on the DNC list but obviously that doesn't help much.

Same things! Got a call this morning about credit card. They would have my credit card number!!!!! Don't trust them. They said they call from Visa?????????

I received a call from them today.  First they called from (403) 648-9228, then they called from (647) 288-1289.  They assured me lower interest rates and a guaranteed savings of a minimum $1500, but first they wanted to charge me $695 and agree to it on a recording.  I checked out their website and it looked really sketchy so I hung up.
