I got a call from this number, but when ????????????it was hanged up.

I also got a strange call but did not answer it.  The number was (647) 288-1289.

got this call today.  i hung up as soon as they asked if it was true that i pay my balance on time.  

creepy.

the company is legit . but they charge you a fortune for their severices they also had my security codes for master card AND visa i was assured that they should not have these numbers

These people are really ramping up there game.  I recieve at least 2 telephone calls a day, from this number or there 877 number.  Nothing you can about them because they are calling on behalf of one of your existing suppliers. ie Mastercard, Sears, Visa, etc. I have tried to reason with them, threaten them, called the authorities, even went so far as to threaten my Credit Card and Bank with termination.

No amount of pressure can stop these people.  They are located at hugh call center in India and do not respect international law as such.  Even changing you phone number won't stop them, everytime your credit report is updated by one of your lenders, they have your new number.

Talking with your telco carrier doesn't work, as they use international telco lines and are VOIP so they are almost unstoppable.
