got call from this number very suspicious

Some one called claiming to be from Protectron regarding "alarm trouble". Told her that I had no such thing. She insisted there was alarm trouble. She asked for my password and gave it (my mistake). She said she will check the problem and call back - but never did. Her number is busy and will not answer.

My alarm company was notified and the password was changed. The alarm company said they never called me and the originating phone number was not theirs. They will investigate through their IT. Be on alert, this is likely a fraudulant call to obtain confidential information. Tell them YOU will call back your alarm company.

FYI: Sophisticated call centres, whether legitimate or fraudulent, can make the call display spit out any name or number they want. They claimed that I had some claim number that needed to be settled. I should call back ASAP...problem is they never answer their call or it is always busy. Perhaps a scam, or someone phishing for confidential data.

This is a Protectron phone number. I was reached twice by Protrectron for a real alarm.
